We dive into the positional rankings. We now look at some sleepers for the rising sophomore class.
Here are the 7 Sleepers in the 2026 class:
Tory Gholston Tory Gholston 5'11" | PG Coolidge | 2026 State AZ Coolidge
Easily the top sleeper in the class since he did not play all year long. He is a fast and athletic scoring lead guard. I viewed him as an incoming freshman and he can score from all levels and was tough on the ball defensively. It will be interesting to see what he looks like this year.
Ky McCutcheon Ky McCutcheon 5'11" | PG Desert Sunrise | 2026 State AZ Desert Sunrise (Pictured)
An unknown brand new school is working their way up to play on varsity officially. They only played JV/freshman ball so far and look to be placed in the AIA next year or possibly this year. He is a facilitating point guard who plays fast and has quickness to get into the lane and will often drive and kick or throw up the court passes.
Edgar Hardwick Edgar Hardwick 6'4" | SF West Point | 2026 State AZ West Point
An athletic wing forward at a little known school. He will defend multiple positions and get downhill and score thru contact. He runs well, shows some toughness and could be one of their focal points the next few years on varsity.
Noah Tabak Noah Tabak 6'6" | PF North Valley Christian Academy | 2026 State AZ North Valley Christian Academy
A true power forward battles with bigger players often and does not back down. He can carve out some space with his thicker frame and wider shoulders. He rebounds, has good post footwork and works hard. If he can keep growing, he will terrorize 1A.
Luke Larrabee Luke Larrabee 6'0" | CG Brophy Prep | 2026 State AZ Brophy Prep
A sharp shooting lefty is a little smaller but has a strap from well past the three point line. He can make some plays for others and thinks the game. He plays smartly off the pick and roll game and will step back off the dribble. Once he gets the family lineage size boost, watch out.
David Mans David Mans 6'5" | PF Pinnacle | 2026 State AZ Pinnacle
A back to the basket type of post player has good length, decent size, big feet and hands and a soft touch. He has good post footwork and if he gets a growth spurt, he will be a tough cover in 6A.
Aidan Lee Delafield Aidan Lee Delafield 5'10" | PG Centennial | 2026 State AZ Centennial
One of the top shooting lead guards in the 2026 class. He has volleyball line range and super quick trigger. He already grew a little but look for him to stretch out some more by next year. He will get varsity minutes and the new head coach is very high on him, as are we.
