2024 Available Non-Public B Guards to Watch

July is nearly halfway over with the first summer live period ending on Sunday. The rising senior class is looking to close out July on a high note and they have the potential to do so, especially in the backcourt. Here are the available Non-Public B guards to watch throughout the rest of the month.

Jaden Kelly Jaden Kelly 6'4" | SG Roselle Catholic | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 SG Roselle Catholic

Kelly moved to the Lions from St. Thomas Aquinas and slide in right away on the perimeter. The 6’4 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Kelly moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the halfcourt. He is an underrated passer and slides his feet on the defensive end. Kelly is a three-and-D prospect to track in the 2024 class as his stock has the potential to rise over the next couple of months.

Andrew Buck Andrew Buck 6'3" | SG Ranney School | 2024 State NJ , 6’3 SG Ranney

Buck is slated to be the go-to guy for the Panthers this season and should put up . The 6’3 guard wastes little motion in his shot and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Buck can also get to the rim off the bounce and is a solid finisher in the paint. He works hard on defense and plays unselfishly in the halfcourt. Buck will be asked to do a little bit of everything for Ranney this season, which should help his game in a big way.

Luke Gaccione Luke Gaccione 5'10" | PG St. Mary's (Rutherford) | 2024 State NJ , 5’10 PG St. Mary’s Rutherford

Gaccione has been running the Gaels’ offense for the past three seasons and should continue to do so in 2023-24. The 5’10 lefty has a good shooting stroke and shoots the ball with confidence from behind the arc. Gaccione plays with good floor vision as he can thread passes to open teammates in the halfcourt. He has the ability to play off the ball at times and is unafraid of diving on the floor for loose balls. Gaccione is a tough guard prospect who does whatever it takes to help his team win games.

LJ Falconi LJ Falconi 6'5" | SG St Marys Rutherford | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 SG St. Mary’s Rutherford

Falconi is a guard prospect to keep an eye on in the 2024 class with his ability to stretch the floor. The 6’4 guard has a clean release on his shot and sets his feet before he shoots. Falconi moves well without the ball in his hands and has a solid pull-up jumper. He is a good rebounder for a guard and is an underrated passer. Falconi’s ability to get hot from distance is something that will help his stock over the next couple of months.

Jalen Sams Jalen Sams 6'3" | SG Morris Catholic | 2024 State NJ , 6’3 SG Morris Catholic

Sams has the potential to get more touches in the Crusaders’ offense this season, which will help his development. The 6’3 guard has a nice touch on his jumper and does not waste a lot of motion on his release. Sams can also score in the mid-range and has an underrated handle. He knows how to play off the ball and does not make a lot of bad decisions with the ball in his hands. Sams’ shooting is key to his game as he has the ability to make noise in 2023-24.
