Continue ReadingLazarus Mason II Lazarus Mason II 6’3″ | PG Grayson | 2024 State GA is a name we’ve been talking about all spring and he’s shown a ton of growth in just the past few months. Mason is a role player for Grayson because of how loaded with talent they are but he’s now proving to people that he can be a real weapon as an on-ball guard. His three-ball was torching defenses on Saturday, hitting a variety of step-backs, pull-ups, and spot-up jumpers. With Gicarri Harris Gicarri Harris 6’4″ | CG Grayson | 2024 State #86 Nation GA heading to Europe in June, Mason should step in and play a major role with Grayson this month.

Alpha Amadou Barry
Alpha Amadou Barry
Alpha Amadou Barry has created a ton of buzz since touching down in Gwinnett County a few weeks ago and is now hitting the camp circuit to show coaches and evaluators what he brings to the table. While we’re still getting our first taste, it’s intriguing to say the least. Barry is an athletic 6’9 forward with some really quick bounce, very effective as a rim-runner or lob threat. He also showed the ability to shoot the three consistently on Saturday as well. Voorhees offered Barry after the camp, his 2nd after Edward Waters offered a few weeks ago.
Robby Hunter III Robby Hunter III 6’0″ | PG Roswell | 2024 State GA typically provides for entertaining basketball and that’s what we got on Saturday. Hunter is extremely quick and crafty, capable of creating instant offense with his dribble. At the rim, Hunter pulls off some acrobatic finishes that often turn heads. He’s a gifted playmaker as well, usually knowing where his guys are at and dropping off dimes. The skill is there for Hunter and with the right system and coaching, I think he can be successful at the next level too.

Central Gwinnett was well represented on Saturday, Tim Smith, Alpha Amadou Barry, and Malik Rideout Malik Rideout 6’1″ | PG Central Gwinnett | 2026 State GA all earning standout status. Smith was one of the core pieces for Central last year and returns as the likely leader. He’s added some height, now up to 6’5 and his skillset is showing development as well. His motor is what set him apart on Saturday though. Smith was all over the floor, chasing loose balls and grabbing rebounds when other guys were dragging their feet. He earned his 1st offer from Voorhees after the camp.
Philip Ryan
Philip Ryan
I really like what I saw on Saturday from Philip Ryan, a 6’6 wing from Dunwoody. Ryan has been having a great spring with the Atlanta Gamechangers who’ve taken a huge step forward this year, largely because of guys like Ryan. At Saturday’s camp, Ryan was impactful on both ends of the floor and kept his energy up all day. The thing that stood out the most was Ryan’s defensive versatility, guarding positions 1-5 effectively. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ryan peaked the interest of some D3s in attendance.
