Throughout the years, Riverside is where a Plethora of professional and college level players came up and learned the game. This elite program continues to be one of the most successful travel organizations in the country, as it continues to pump out high level prospects. Here are some players in the program that have made some serious noise in the high school basketball world.
Maurice Vassel
Maurice Vassel
Vassel is an athletic forward, with great hands, and the ability get up above the rim quickly off the catch. He is a rebounding machine on both offense and defense, and displays a soft touch around the rim. His length, and athletic ability also allow him to be a high level rim protector consistently. Vassal also gets the job done of the court as well with high academics.
Vincent Chaudri
Vincent Chaudri
Chaudri is a talented forward, that has a knack for scoring the ball in a variety of ways. His length and skill allow him to shoot over opposing defenders. He has a variety of moves that allow him to score at all three levels on the floor. Chaudri is a threat to get a bucket in transition, while being able to score in the flow of the offense as well.
Jack Bailey
Jack Bailey
Bailey is a highly skilled power forward with multiple Division I offers. He is a strong rebounder and shot-blocker on both ends of the court. Additionally, Bailey has the ability to guard perimeter players and shoot from beyond the three-point line. On offense, he can finish above the rim with dunks and also has the ability to take it all the way to the basket. Expect Bailey’s recruitment to continue to trend upwards.
AJ Mickens
AJ Mickens
Mickens is a smooth hooper at the shooting guard spot who plays with poise and picks his scoring spots strategically. He has the ability and skills to change speeds quickly and is a crafty player when going to the basket. Mickens also displays a high level of patience on offense and take smart, high percentage shots. Mickens also moves well without the ball, but can set up shots for himself and his teamates, and make plays off the dribble.
Santos is a smooth catch and shoot player from downtown that has the ability to heat up quickly. He also has the ability to hit runners down the lane and finish on the inside. Santos also has the length, skill and athleticism to go coast to coast in transition and finish with dunks in traffic. On defense, Santos uses his length and speed to serve as an additional anchor down low and has the ability to get chase down blocks.
