Landon Dimler Landon Dimler 6'5" | SG Mankato West | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Lightning (6’4 wing from Mankato West). The consistency of production from Dimler helped his team get to the 17s finals. Dimler is a wing but he can handle some, he’s a great rebounder for his size, Dimler is shooting the ball at a high percentage now and his one/two dribbles put him in good spots all weekend long. Consistently productive.
Justin Johnson of Team X Magic (6’2 guard from DeLaSalle). I love the way Justin competed for Magic. His ability to pass the ball deep in a possession for the right shot, his timing and pace with the ball, and his ability to score the basketball in quality numbers without taking a large amount of attempts, enjoyed watching him in the two games I saw. Johnson seems like the next Islander that will go from JV to senior standout.
Jaden Morgan Jaden Morgan 6'4" | SG DeLaSalle | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Select (6’4 wing from DeLaSalle). Every time I see Jaden play the higher I think of what he can do. There are so many pieces to his game that make him a strong scholarship prospect: agility, size, skill from the perimeter, skill to finish at the rim, etc. And consistency. He consistently scores in so many ways.
Abe Soumis of Northern Lakaers (6’4 guard/wing from Hermantown). What I really like about Soumis is the offensive versatility. I saw him handle some, shoot it well from the perimeter, and play in the post and produce very well. Good back to the basket game but also comfortable from the perimeter. Really like everything we saw from Abe this weekend.
Zy Stewart of Minnesota Select (5’11 PG from Totino-Grace). I think this is the weekend that Stewart really took himself from one level and let everybody know he’s at a higher level than people think. Athletically and explosive ability wise, he’s at a much higher level than just about everybody. He has the physical gifts to be a special ball pressure defender. The consistency of his decision making this weekend really caught the eye too.
Shaun Wysocki Shaun Wysocki 6'7" | SF Rochester Century | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Lightning (6’7 Wing from Rochester Century). We have talked about Shaun so much that I will keep this brief: the thing I loved about Shaun this weekend was the consistency of production. There are prospects and there are prospects that consistently produce and their teams win. Shaun is the second.
