Tyler Beckwith Tyler Beckwith 6'5" | SF Farmington | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Select (6’5 2024 from Farmington). I thought Tyler was excellent around the basket this weekend. He was more than just support, the Tiger forward made a legit impact regularly as Select made their title run. With the emergence of Beckwith as well as the Farmington bigs that played for the Fury 16s, you put them with Hrncir and there are few frontcourts in Minnesota matching what Farmington will throw at times. Love the Beckwith work rate.
Jackson Hettwer Jackson Hettwer 6'3" | SG Coon Rapids | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Heat Hettwer (6’2 2024 from Coon Rapids). Based on what I watched this past weekend and also what I have researched and heard from others, Jackson Hettwer Jackson Hettwer 6'3" | SG Coon Rapids | 2024 State MN should quickly jump onto the list of shooters people should know about. He scored ten a game for the Cards last winter and had 27 for his team when I watched at NHR State. Sounds like Jackson is a regular guy that opposing coaches warn players about when it comes to marking shooters.
Jevon Kiros Jevon Kiros 6'0" | PG Champlin Park | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Rush (6’0 2024 from Champlin Park). Every time I watch the Rush I feel like Kiros is one of the first names I mention to others as… “yeah he was solid”. Handling the ball, defending, attacking the gaps and getting to the rim with a quick attack, these are things I feel like I see from Jevon every time I watch his team play. And when you say that about a player it falls into the steady and consistent category. Playing with Amory Peterson Amory Peterson 6'3" | SG Champlin Park | 2024 State MN on both Rush and CP, knowing what Luke Graff Luke Graff 6'3" | SG Holy Family | 2024 State MN has to offer, knowing Kyler Pust Kyler Pust 5'11" | PG Champlin Park | 2026 State MN is also coming up, this Rebel backcourt is looking tough for next season.
Zach Ladu Zach Ladu 6'4" | SG Rochester John Marshall | 2024 MN of Minnesota Lightning (6’4 2024 from Rochester JM). Ladu grows on me more and more every game. The energy and passion he gives his team is something that really stands out. He seems to be genuine with his admiration of when his teammates do well which in return leaves his teammates exploding with excitement when Ladu finishes a play at the rim or makes a hustle play on defense. Steady player with good agility and solid skill.
Oliver Shors Oliver Shors 6'1" | CG Minneapolis Southwest | 2024 MN of Minnesota Heat Hoyt (6’0 2024 from Minneapolis Southwest). I recall watching Oliver over the winter and thinking he was a solid player but never did I expect to walk into a gym, see a guy scoring at that rate, finding out it was 31 points, and then seeing his name next to those 31. Brilliant game from Shors this weekend and I feel like every time I turn around right now a kid from Southwest seems to be making some noise in the spring/summer season.
Tristan Williams of Team Magic X (6’1 2024 from Chanhassen). I really liked the poise that Tristan played with in the Magic X upset win over Minnesota Spartans. His late foul shot makes, late decisions with the basketball, feeds in the open floor, it was all done against some of the top speed in the 2024 class and done with few mistakes. Chanhassen has a lot of guard names having big springs and Tristan Williams is the latest name to add to that list.
