Prep Hoops Missouri spent the weekend watching the action at the Hoops and Beyond Summer Showcase at Webster Groves. Here is a look at the biggest stock risers from the event who put in some excellent work throughout the weekend.

Colin Keller (Chaminade): The 6'1" 2025 guard took home the Most Valuable Player award for the event after leading the Red Devils to the championship. He shot the ball extremely well from 3-point range throughout the weekend as he was also getting buckets from all three levels. His constant movement and quick release on his shot made him tough to defend. He scored a game-high 13 points in the championship game victory over Cardinal Ritter. He has enjoyed a breakthrough spring while playing for Michael Porter Jr. Elite's 16U squad and last weekend was a continuation of that stellar play.

*******

[player_tooltip player_id='1431929' first='Langston' last='Stroupe'] (Hickman): The 6'2" 2024 guard had an impressive weekend in helping lead the Kewpies to a berth in the semifinals of the event. He is an excellent all-purpose player who played with an endless amount of energy at all times. He was very good at both guard spots as he facilitated well as a playmaker and he also provided consistent scoring with his driving and perimeter shooting. Whenever the Kewpies made a big run, he was usually in the middle of it.

********

[player_tooltip player_id='1259022' first='Mekhi' last='Barringer'] (Cardinal Ritter): The 6'4" 2024 wing player came off the bench to lead Ritter's talented second unit and he had a major impact on the game each time he entered the game. He was a matchup problem with his physical strength, athleticism and ability to attack the basket with authority. He was guarding bigs in the post with his strength and guards on the perimeter with his athleticism. He can also handle the ball and hit a perimeter jumper.

*******

[player_tooltip player_id='1427997' first='Ko'Terrion' last='Owens'] (Charleston): The stocky 6'2" 2024 power forward had a very productive weekend as one of the more unique players in the event. He is an undersized inside player, but that did not stop him from dominating throughout the weekend. Not only is he physically strong, but he has good quickness and excellent footwork to score around the basket. He also spent a lot of time as a ball handler and facilitator. If he wasn't beating defenders off the dribble, he was dropping some nice dimes when he drew another defender.

********

[player_tooltip player_id='1429694' first='Brandon' last='Johnson'] (McCluer): The 6'4" 2024 wing was the most explosive athlete in the event and it wasn't even close. He won a state championship in the high jump at last weekend's state track meet and we saw some of that dynamic athleticism during the weekend as he threw down several entertaining dunks. He also attacked the basketball well for nice finishes in the lane and he could also knock down the open 3-pointer.

******

[player_tooltip player_id='1557407' first='Miyel' last='Taylor'] (University City): The 6'1" 2025 point guard had an impressive showing over the weekend with his scoring ability and his playmaking. His game is under control and he doesn't try to force things. He lets the game to come to him. When he asserts himself, you see a very creative ball handler who can break down any defender to get into the lane as well as a very capable perimeter shooter. He had all of that working in the games that I watched him play.

******

[player_tooltip player_id='1571719' first='Aman' last='Kesete'] (Capital City): A 6'3" 2024 guard from Mid-Mo who was one of the more impressive bucket-getters that I watched during the weekend. He is a three-level scorer who has many wats to beat defenders off the dribble. He gets by defenders in a smooth controlled way with his creative handles. He can get to the middle area for the pull up jumper and he can back down defenders and hit the one-legged fadeaway jumper. He can also knock down the open 3-pointers off the catch.
