After watching the two days of action, we now have a chance to introduce you to some new names of players that we watched who played well in the event.
Holmes Hansen (Webster Groves): A 6’4″ 2024 wing player who was one of the top perimeter shooters that I watched during the weekend. He is a solid player with good size who seems to be minding his business on offense until he starts hitting 3-pointers from the corner with regularity. He also hit some very timely shots when his team needed to stop a run by the other team. He moves well and finds the open spots and he spaces the floor for his teammates, especially the ones who love to slash to the basket.

John James (Capital City): This 6’3″ 2024 jumping jack was the top shot blocker that I saw during the weekend. That’s right. He’s just 6’3, but his explosive leaping ability and great timing led to several multi-block games during the weekend. Not only could he jump high, his reaction to the shot was so quick that he surprised opposing shooters when he blocked shots. He is also a good rebounder who played with an high motor at both ends of the court.
******
Jamaun Pruitt (University City): A 2025 guard who provided instant energy and hustle every time he came into the game. When he wasn’t creating steals and getting to loose balls he did a great job of finding seams to get to the offensive boards. He seemed to appear out of nowhere to get offensive putbacks. His constant energy really charged up his team.
*******
Shane Bishop (Ritenour): A 2025 point guard who is a very talented offensive player with nifty handles and the ability to create off the dribble. He can break down defenders in the half court with a nice burst and he can really turn on the jets in the open court and make some exciting plays in the transition game.
*******
Zecobyian Ewing (Charleston): A 2025 point guard who is a solid ball handler who had a habit of hitting timely 3-pointers in close games. He has good quickness and he plays under control and makes good decisions. He also has a nice shooting touch on his runners in the lane.
*******
Julian Hamilton (McCluer North): A 6’6″ 2024 forward who gets a lot of things done inside with his length and activity. He is a very active rebounder who gets out of his area to grab boards. He is a solid finisher inside who will convert the easy ones. He will also block shots inside to help his defense.
*******
Gary Johnson (St. Mary’s): A 6’3″ 2026 forward who is very athletic and proved to be a very good worker at both ends of the court. He was very active on the boards against taller players and he had some impressive blocked shot, including a few of the chase down variety. He was constantly running the court and he threw down a couple of nice dunks in transition.
