AM Standouts
Beckett Pfau Beckett Pfau 6'0" | SG West Fargo | 2026 State ND (2026) |5’10 G| West Fargo
Beckett scored the first Packer bucket with an offensive rebound putback. He looks to have a good skill set and he knows his way around the basketball court. Pfau did good work penetrating and kicking out to shooters. He showed sharp awareness with a backdoor cut. I like how he slashes and gets two feet in the paint. Pfau scored with a sweet step-through move that he finished with a lefty scoop shot. I liked how Beckett used a jab step to get a reaction from his on-ball defender. If his man was slow to react he went by him and if he gave too much space, Beckett went the other way. I like Beckett’s game.
Bonfas Loria Bonfas Loria 6'5" | SF West Fargo | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’5 SF| West Fargo
He had a very nice backdoor bounce pass to a teammate for a Packer score. Loria showed off his shooting ability by cashing in from 3-point land. Bonfas did not have a ton of production in the first game. However, his length, mobility, and impressive athleticism were still on display.
Sam Glandt Sam Glandt 6'2" | SG West Fargo | 2026 State ND (2026) |6’1 G| West Fargo
He did not score a ton but made some nice plays. Glandt showed a sweet spin move that left defenders in the dust. Glandt also showed a nice hesitation move when attacking with his right hand. Sam sacrificed his body and took a charge. He had a pick-pocket steal late to help keep the game close. Sam also deflected and stole passes. I like his fight and his competitiveness.
Ethan Cheaye Ethan Cheaye 5'10" | CG West Fargo | 2024 ND (2024) |5’10 G| West Fargo
He is a very fast player and is quick when attacking downhill. Ethan created a few TO’s and he scored in transition. He seems to have good handles and did not have much trouble with the Eagle pressure.
Joseph Gomez Joseph Gomez 5'8" | CG Wahpeton | 2025 State ND (2025) |5’11 G| Wahpeton
I did not see the lefty play for very long but Gomez struck me as a player with sharp handles and a shifty slasher. He has good eyes and vision. Joseph is unselfish and he makes plays off the bounce and pass.
Alpha Camara Alpha Camara 6'5" | SF Fargo Davies | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’4 SF| Davies
This athlete is turning into an elusive slasher. Alpha’s fake crossover looked really good. I liked the way that Camara slashed deep into the lane and how he finished off two feet. He glides to the rim. As always, Alpha was productive rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. He got to the line by drawing fouls, and he elevated over the D for buckets. Camara is an extremely quick jumper and his two-handed flush looked about as difficult as a yawn is for most people. Alpha continues to impress!
Peter Havelka Peter Havelka 6'6" | PF Fargo Davies | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’6 PF| Davies
He grabbed multiple offensive rebounds. Peter gave the Eagles extra possessions and he scored on putbacks. I like the fact that he can score with both hands. I was impressed with how he drew contact and got to the FT-line. I love how Havelka attacks the ball off the rim and how he secures the rebound like the ball belongs to him.
Cameron Miller Cameron Miller 6'1" | PG Fargo Davies | 2026 State ND (2026) |6’0 G| Davies
Miller impressed me with his passing today. When Cam penetrated into the lane, the defense had to help, when that happened Cam delivered soft bounce passes that set up his teammates for scores. Miller also found shooters on the perimeter. Cam’s athleticism was on display when catching a pass while sprinting full speed. He caught it in stride and scored with an inside-hand finger roll. It was an athletic sequence. I was impressed with the way that Miller attacks closeouts. He goes directly by the defender inside of going around them. He is efficient and does not dance. Cam was also crucial late in the game. He put the game on ice with a couple of big free throws to cap off the W.
Maddox Maloney (2024) |6’3 F| Davies
He was aggressive early and Maddox was getting to the rack early and often. Maloney hustled up and down the court and this led to transition buckets. He showed good feet and agility around the hoop. Maddox plays hard, physical, and he scored with an O-board tip-in. I love his effort and energy!
Luke Martinson Luke Martinson 6'4" | PF Sargent County | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’4 F| Sargent County
He did not score a ton of points but did plenty of other positive things on the court. Martinson is always hustling and playing hard. This led to O-boards and steals. The Bulldogs were missing a few players, therefore Martinson brought the ball up the court often. His handles looked good. Luke delivered a very nice pass to a back-cutting teammate. It was a pocket bounce pass and Luke delivered it right on the money. Luke showed off his athleticism with a 2-handed power dunk in warmups.
Josh Wittich Josh Wittich 6'5" | PF Sargent County | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’5 F| Sargent County
He does most of his damage off the bounce but Josh had a strong post-up. He did a good job of holding off opponents and rebounding. Per usual, Wittich scored with O-board putbacks. He struck me as an accurate outlet passer and he also brought the ball down the court a handful of times. Josh blocked shots and saved a ball from going out of bounds with extra effort on a hustle play. He showed his playmaking ability with a slash-n-score against an All-State type player. The defense was right in his face but Wittich still finished with a soft kiss off the glass.
Caden Englund Caden Englund 6'2" | CG Shiloh Christian | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’1 G| Shiloh Christian
Englund is an aggressive playmaker. He got to the line often and really pushed the tempo in transition. Caden found shooters with crisp passes and he scored on fastbreaks. He is a creator but will also reverse the ball and make the easy pass. Englund had a super-nice assist in transition. The speed was going fast and Caden delivered the dime 1-handed off the dribble. He threaded the needle like a QB. Englund also scored in traffic and proved that he is a versatile finisher.
Isaac Emmel Isaac Emmel 5'11" | CG Shiloh Christian | 2024 State ND (2024) |5’11 G| Shiloh Christian
It was not his best game of shooting but Emmel still showed a very nice-looking shot. His form is proper, smooth, and I like his footwork when working into the shot. He did cash in a few and it was evident that Isaac is a real-deal threat from 3!
Atticus Wilkinson Atticus Wilkinson 6'6" | PF Shiloh Christian | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’6 PF| Shiloh Christian
Wilkinson is a big, strong, and powerful athlete. He held his own on the boards and scored around the basket. Atticus showed a smooth jumper and strong finishes. Wilkinson is a talented player and he will be one of the best BIGs in class “A” next season.
