There were many standouts throughout the event, and plenty of offers were thrown around as well. Here’s a look at part two of the 2024 standouts from the Maryland schools in attendance.
Scottie Hubbard Scottie Hubbard 6'5" | SG Jackson-Reed | 2024 State MD | 6’5” WF | St. Andrew’s
Hubbard is one of the more intriguing available wings in the DMV, and he had some great moments that showed his upside moving forward. At 6’5” with long arms he checks all the boxes physically and athletically, he can put it on the deck and get to spots both in the midrange and at the rim and he’s able to heat up quickly and score it in bunches from all over the floor. He finished the event averaging 15 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
Xander Alarie Xander Alarie 6'8" | SF St. Andrew's | 2024 State MD | 6’7” PF | St. Andrew’s
Alarie had himself a great weekend and had a number of college coaches watching him as he showed his big time athleticism and versatility with efficient production across the board. At 6’7” he has good size and is a stretch forward who can knock it down from deep, he has good pop as a finisher above the rim who can catch lobs and cutbacks and he runs the floor and can switch defensively. He finished the event averaging 13,3 points on 59% shooting from the field and 5.8 rebounds per game.
Ky Panda-Massey Ky Panda-Massey 5'9" | PG Clinton Grace | 2024 State MD | 5’10” PG | Grace Brethren
Panda-Massey was fantastic for Grace Brethren at the point of attack, as he showed his ability to touch the paint and and create shots while showing a good amount of toughness as well. He’s shifty off the bounce with a good handle and the ability to change speeds, he plays with great balance when he gets downhill and is able to finish through contact and he is a competitor who will get after it on both ends of the floor. He finished the event averaging 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
Tremayne Hawkins Tremayne Hawkins 6'7" | PF Grace Brethren | 2024 State MD | 6’7” PF | Grace Brethren
Hawkins was a force for Brethren as he dominated in the paint and was able to score the ball well without having a lot of plays called for him. The 6’7” forward is extremely strong and plays with a great motor as he’s willing to bang in the paint and pursues rebounds on both ends of the floor, he has great body control to finish through contact and he can step out and make shots in the midrange as well. He finished the event averaging 13.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Tyler Boston Tyler Boston 5'10" | PG Bullis | 2024 State #291 Nation MD | 5’11” PG | Bullis
Boston was fantastic on the weekend, showing he’s a natural floor general who makes great decisions and runs the show, and he picked up four offers on the weekend due to his play. Boston runs the pick-and-roll as good as anyone in the DMV as he can make all the reads and passes out of it, he scored the ball well from deep and in the midrange and he has an innate ability to control the game on both ends of the floor. He finished the event averaging 8 points and 5 assists while his impact on the game was much more than the stats would show.
Caden Diggs Caden Diggs 6'7" | SF Bullis | 2024 State #125 Nation MD | 6’6” WF | Bullis
Diggs is a fast rising prospect who is starting to gain big time high major interest, and he showed that potential throughout DMV Live with some very impressive outings and plays. At 6’6” he’s a big time athlete with long arms and the ability to play above the rim, he continues to improve in his shooting from deep, he can handle it in transition and he has big time upside on the defensive end, He finished the event averaging 10.3 points and 3.8 rebounds on one of the deepest teams in the event.
