Tylan Lewis Tylan Lewis 6'2" | PG Independence | 2025 State TN (Independence) showed that typical tenacity on defense. He got his hips low and despite an attempted crossover against him, Tylan poked the ball free for his teammate to collect.
Lewis was given an impossible task of checking Cade Capps Cade Capps 6'5" | SG Stone Memorial | 2025 State #210 Nation TN late Friday night. Cade was in the middle of torching Independence broadly and Jett Montgomery Jett Montgomery 6'1" | PG Independence | 2024 State TN specifically. Tylan was given the assignment. He did just about as well as can be imagined. He kept his base low and prevented Capps from driving like he wanted to. Lewis elevated for a block when CC tried a trademarked slight fade near the free throw line.
Lewis only exceled more in the latter stages as Capps started to wilt from exhaustion. He carries an enormous scoring burden for Stone Memorial and the team played a ton of games. Lewis used physicality to make a difference. Capps made a couple of nice fakes to exploit Lewis’ aggression and use it against him somewhat. Lewis and his team pulled ou the win by about 20 points. Much credit to Lewis.
Rocco Lamuno (Ravenwood) blocked an alley-oop in a 2-on-1 transition. He was in a very vulnerable position and managed to end it favorably.
Xavier Washington Xavier Washington 6'3" | SG Hillsboro | 2025 State TN (Hillsboro) drew a charge foul on Griffin Cooper Griffin Cooper 6'8" | PF Columbia Academy | 2024 State TN in the final minute, as CA attempted a comeback against the Buros. Big turnover as HHS tried to stall. His pocket was picked by Andre McClellan Andre McClellan 6'1" | PG Columbia Academy | 2024 State TN .
