The event featured top talent from 15U-17U, and had a lot of guys we expect to blow up over the June and July live periods.
Here’s a look at part three of the standouts from the VA teams in attendance.
Jordan Scott Jordan Scott 6'7" | SG South Lakes | 2025 State #130 Nation VA | 6’6” WG | Virginia Elite 16U
Scott has been one of the top stock risers in the state so far this spring, picking up double digit division one offers, and he showed he deserves it as he had good showings against two top tier shoe company teams. The 6’6” wing checks the boxes physically with his height and length and he uses that defensively where he’s a very good shot blocker for his position, he shoots the ball very well from deep with good range and excellent form, he handles the ball and makes plays for others and he competes on both ends.
Odita Aguolo | 6’6” WF | Virginia Elite 16U ’26
Aguolo is a player that we’ve known about and have been keeping an eye on since he came to Blue Ridge as a freshman, but he had a huge breakout performance at the CBG Memorial Day Showcase against two very good shoe company teams. The 6’6” wing is a long prospect with a great frame that is likely still growing, he’s a top tier athlete who can get out in transition and get downhill where he can finish with authority above the rim and he’s showing improvement in his perimeter shot and defense as well.
Miles Franklin Miles Franklin 6'6" | SF St Andrews Episcopal | 2025 State MD | 6’4” WF | Virginia Elite 16U
Franklin is another intriguing prospect that is reclassifying to the 2025 class and should see his recruitment take off as he continues to develop with another year. The 6’4” wing has long arms and is super explosive which he showed with his above the rim play and his ability to come help side and protect the rim, he can handle in transition and get downhill in straight lines and he can make open shots off the catch too.
Sol Vita Sol Vita 6'1" | PG South Lakes | 2025 State VA | 6’0” PG | Virginia Elite 16U
While the wings have some very high upside and show stopping athleticism, VA Elite’s guard play was solid throughout the weekend and Vita was the leader as he handled pressure and got them into sets. He showed great poise and playmaking ability as he controlled the tempo and made plays in transition, he touched the paint and made great reads, he set the tone defensively and he picked his spots and scored it efficiently when he needed to.
John Uzochukwu | 6’1” CG | Team Marsh 16U
Uzochukwu may not be well known so far in his career, but the way he’s played this summer I fully expect him to be a breakout player for LC Bird next year. The 6’1” combo is a high energy and athletic guard who gets after it on both ends of the floor, he is a strong and athletic finisher when he gets downhill, he can make tough shots from multiple levels and if he ends up like his brothers he likely still has a growth spurt ahead of him.
