Kyle is the best big in 4A and he will have an opportunity to really make noise and assert himself and his team as the best in 4A. Kyle has been dominating 4A for years and he might have a chance to cap off his senior year with a title because the kid is playing out of his mind right now. he gets some great sets that allow him to score but great shooting around him makes teams pick their poison.
This kid is a new name that has emerged over at Snow Canyon that has been playing at a high level this summer. He is a player that you can dump the ball into and although he is rw he has some go to moves. He is agile and he has a motor. You can use him as a simple post player or in the mid-post because he can turn and face and attack the rim.
One of the rising starts in that Class of 2025 that is emerging. His rim protecting is going to be much needed and used in the NIBC. Look for him to get more run and experience as he is getting better every time he is on the floor. His offensive game is coming along but he does play very good defense, if he can stay out of foul trouble he is going to learn how to read and defend different players.
Highlights
One of those hidden gem bigs out here in the state. It’s crazy to think he is going to be a senior because he has played like a senior the past two years. His strength at the high school level is unmatched as he is a big body that can score at a high percentage every time he gets the ball deep in the paint. He runs the floor well and he is a big screen when you are running actions though him.
This kid is legit! The wingspan really separates him from other bigs. He has one of the best wall up’s as he doesn’t have to jump in order to alter or bother players trying to score at the rim. He has been running very well this grassroots season and that soccer background is really showcasing that footwork. He is a willing passer out of the post and he has a killer baseline spin move. He will rise the summer and during the season.
Development is coming along. The dual sport athlete is getting stronger and he might end up being 6’10 at the rate he is going, but Kia is solid and he knows how to play the game as he holds his own against bigger guys, faster guys and smaller guys. His work in the post is very noted and he is going to be a big part of Orem’s success and that is if they play 5A or 4A.
