Jake Cackovic Jake Cackovic 6’7″ | C Holly Springs | 2025 State NC is another prospect out of the Strong Center fold that’s starting to emerge. He’s a 6-foot-7 mobile presence on the the floor that’s capable of operating rim to rim and making things happen around the painted area. He uses his length in a variety of ways to affect the game and has even shown he can knock down jumpers when needed. He’s another name to get to know at Holly Springs High.
Grant Clayton Grant Clayton 6’7″ | C AC Reynolds | 2025 State NC is another sizeable name to get to know out of AC Reynolds High given his prowess around the rim. He’s a prospect out West that’s shown he can make things happen around the rim, finishing with authority and carving out space on the interior when given opportunities. He’s a 6-foot-7 big man that plays with a ton of energy around the rim on both ends of the floor.
Jussan Wiggins Jussan Wiggins 5’10” | PG New Bern | 2025 State NC is another prospect out of the Truth Elite Basketball fold that continues to impress. He does well to wait his turn, as he comes off the bench, and knows when to “turn things up” so to speak when he’s on the floor. He’s a masterful defender that can pick up 94 feet just as well as he can run the show and keep his team in their sets for easy scores. He’s a prospect for DII and DIII programs to get to know out of New Bern High.
Parker Bye Parker Bye 6’3″ | SG Trinity Academy | 2025 State NC climbs into the Top 100 following a productive spring in the UpNextHoops backcourt. He’s shown he can knock down shots in bunches on the perimeter and be a presence on the defensive end of the floor. He does well to make things happen with and without the ball in his hands as a constant mover in space. He’s a presence on the perimeter that continues to impress with each showing and one to keep eyes on out of Trinity Academy Raleigh.
Highlights
Omaurie Phillips Omaurie Phillips 6’5″ | SF Farmville Central | 2025 State NC is a prospect that plays with a ton of energy and poise at the wing/forward spot in the Team Trezz rotation. He’s a burden to defend against given his length and athleticism around the rim and even more of a presence on the defensive end as a shot blocker and defender. As he learns to stay out of foul trouble and stay consistent in the frontcourt, look for his recruitment to grow out of Farmville Central High.
