There were 22 new players added and here are some of the stock risers.
There is no surprise to see many players rising up quickly as some just are finally figuring it out or have grown in many ways.
Here are 9 stock risers after the HS season:
Blake Sosnowitz Blake Sosnowitz 5'10" | PG Phoenix Country Day | 2025 State AZ Phoenix Country Day +66
One of the deeper perimeter shooters in the class. He literally shoots it from beyond the volleyball line with an ultimate green light and a quick release. He sprays the ball around the court to teammates with his pinpoint passing making him a fun watch.
Mateo Sullivan Mateo Sullivan 6'7" | PF Goldwater | 2025 State AZ Goldwater +50 (Pictured)
One of the many pleasant surprises in the last two months was Mateo. He has improved almost more than anyone in the state. He grew a couple inches or so from last viewing and is polishing up his skill seemingly over night. His skill from mid to the three jumps out and he still can work inside and score.
Makai Frazier-Taylor Makai Frazier-Taylor 5'10" | CG Hamilton | 2025 State AZ Hamilton +40
A tough and quick combo guard with real open court speed. The lefty is quick with and without the ball. He can shoot the three, rise up from mid-range and get downhill. His speed and skill are standing out recently.
Ryan Burbach Ryan Burbach 6'3" | SG Brophy Prep | 2025 State AZ Brophy Prep +35
One of the top shooters in the class with good size for position. He squares up flawlessly and lets it go. He has one of those strokes that look good every attempt. He keeps growing each season and has length and is becoming more athletic.
Will Jenson Will Jenson 6'8" | PF Caldera | 2025 State OR Brophy Prep +32
A long power forward with a high motor and a good touch around the rim. He will occasionally face up to the three point line but makes most of his money inside the paint. He will rebound and challenge opposing bigs.
Amare King Amare King 6'5" | CG Casteel | 2025 State AZ Casteel +29
Not many in the AIA have played better in the last two months than King. He has grown his game and height. He is a rare three level scorer who can also easily act like a lead guard in stretches with great timing on his passes.
Jeremiah Jones Jeremiah Jones 6'10" | C Perry | 2025 State AZ Perry +26
One of the biggest players in the state from the class. He towers over most with his size and length and alters and/or blocks a lot of shots in his area. He rebounds well and he is moving better than last year. Once he fills in more, he will breakout.
Kaleb Hilliard Kaleb Hilliard 5'10" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2025 State AZ AZ Compass Prep +19
A lead guard who puts up points quickly. He has good range and gets the ball out of his hands quickly. He also showed that he can be a very good on-ball defender. His three point shooting is still definitely his calling card.
Fresh Carter Fresh Carter 6'1" | SG Bella Vista Prep | 2025 State AZ Bella Vista Prep +18
A scoring guard has grown over the last year about two inches. He shoots it with the best of them from the three point line. He can rattle them off with a quick trigger and deep range.
