Jackson Hoag, 5’10 G – Blueprint Basketball Class of 2026
A natural facilitator, Jackson controlled the pace of games for Blueprint all weekend. Hoag handled ball pressure with ease and got everyone involved with his passing skills and court vision. Yet at the same time, he chose his spots to score and did so quite efficiently, finishing inside and from range. And defensively, Hoag was measured and smart. He rarely gambled, stayed in front, and provided timely rotations. Super solid weekend from Jackson.
Jimmy Zhou, 5’10 G – West Island Lakers (Montreal, CA) Class of 2026
Jimmy too has that inherent ability to run the offense. Never sped up, Zhou utilized his tight handle and strength to navigate ball pressure as he got guys into spots. Moreover, he used ball screens intuitively. He mixed up when he used the screen or denied it, and he got to the rim often where he initiated contact and finished in control. On the defensive side, Jimmy showed nice footwork and snatched a good deal of boards. Zhou’s patience and control were top notch.
Kole Fotion, 6’0 G – Green Mountain Select Class of 2026
The combo-guard’s athleticism as a slasher and a defender were on full display. Kole’s off-ball movement consistently put him in position to knock down open 3s, and he did so consistently. But he balanced his shooting with considerable slashing, puncturing the second layer often where he finished at the cup or hit teammates with crisp kick outs for jumpers. On the other end, Fotion’s agility and length disrupted ballhandlers and passing lanes. Kole is electric with his skillset and athleticism.
Dylan Rubin, 6’3 W – West Island Lakers (Montreal, CA) Class of 2026
Long and athletic, Dylan jumped out in a number of ways. He showed inside/out toughness, able to mix it up in the post on both ends with his finishing package, rim protection, and rebounding. In addition, he demonstrated coast-to-coast ability both as a ballhandler and lane runner, often beating guys down floor to make plays. At the same time, he defends the perimeter with solid agility and can shoot it off the catch. Rubin’s got game.
Tej Stewart, 6’3 W – Green Mountain Select Class of 2026
Tej’s ability to defend multiple positions and work both around the rim and from the wing make him so promising. Stewart covers players 2-4 with his strength and athleticism, and his ability to rebound the ball and collect 50/50s ensures extra possessions. Offensively, he moves well off the ball and has a nice stroke off the catch. Yet he can slash and finish around the rim too with his size and toughness. I like Stewart’s versatile skillset.
