Randy Tshizanga, 6’4 W/F – West Island Lakers (Montreal, CA) Class of 2025
Randy is an athletic swiss-army knife who does the work that doesn’t show up in the box score. Tshizanga is an energy guy who tracks down 50/50s, boxes out + hits the glass, and brings physicality and communication to the floor. On the offensive end, his off-ball movement includes hard screens and cuts. And with the rock in his hands, he makes good reads for slashes and feeds. Randy’s intangibles are easy to like, and his ceiling is high.
Ronan Evans, 6’1 G/W – West Island Lakers (Montreal, CA) Class of 2026
With a smooth stroke and the athleticism to finish strong inside, Evans showed himself as a volume 2-level scorer. His shooting off the catch was falling, and he found some rhythm stepping back in the pnr. Plus, Ronan got into the second layer often and demonstrated he can finish well when he keeps his defender on his hip. A tough athlete, Evans defended the perimeter nicely and got out in transition to make plays. Solid work from Ronan.
Noah Jenks, 6’1 G – Green Mountain Select Class of 2026
I continue to see Noah improve. Jenks is a natural athlete with nice speed and quickness, and his handle + shooting make him a tough cover. He handled ball pressure well and slashed with toughness, able to finish the play himself or dish it when the help comes. Moreover, he moved well off ball and knocked down open looks due to his movement. And on the defensive end, he utilized that athleticism to lock in on his matchup and clean the glass. Jenks is coming along nicely.
Yoel Perez, 5’10 G – West Island Lakers (Montreal, CA) Class of 2025
A combo-guard with serious quickness, Yoel proved himself alongside a guard heavy team and tournament. Perez handles the ball with ease, and with his quickness, he blew by numerous defenders for athletic lays on both sides of the rim, dishes to posts in the dunker spot, or to shooters. Additionally, he brought the energy + grit to the defensive side of the ball and didn’t take a play off. Perez’s approach is tough.
Gabriel Michaud, 5’11 G – Hardwick Mustangs Class of 2026
Playing within the varsity division, Gabriel had his work cut out for him. Regardless, he never wavered. Michaud is a tough guard with a stocky frame and tight handle. He navigated hardnosed ball pressure with mental toughness and got his guys organized + slashed for strong finishes. Furthermore, he brought the defensive grind himself, locking in against ballhandlers and working for boards. I was impressed with Michaud’s ball security and resilience.
