Many programs have avoided going ot the same tournaments and expanded their travel to play in great platforms against some solid teams. Here are some notes from this past weekend.
Big time Get
Not sure who is going to pull this kid but he is a really good and plays at a very high level. Put him against other 4’s on your program and he will make them better and get better with them. The kid is a monster. After 2 club years with the Utah Prospects, then 1 year with Ignite and now playing Spring ball with Utah Gold this kid has simply improved every year. He does things different and has such a go to work demeanor about his game. It would be crazy not to snatch him up RIGHT NOW!
Iron Sharpens Iron
Kyle was a force this weekend in Texas. He was working hard and getting to some spots that turned into easy buckets. The kid was eating as he went off for 40 points in one game and was just in the zone. Scoring 40 points in a game is tough and it is not easy at the grassroots level either. Kyle was one of the standouts nationally in Texas this weekend and he got better as did his team.
Every good AAU team usually has a PG or lead guard that is helping that team go. Kongo Elite went in to Las Vegas and ran some teams and a lot of it had to do with the player with the ball in his hands a lot. He is getting the ball to the right people on his team. He is feeding the hot hand and he is understanding situations and such that you can see a very mature IQ on this kid. He is always going to be in the plus in the state sheet and if he is not scoring a ton he is dissing out assist or rebounding nd even getting steals or tips.
This kid gets enough attention but this past weekend he was doing some things you rarely see. He took on a big time challenge and rose to the occasion. From thunderous dunks to sharp high IQ passes this kid was on it. Played head to head against one of the best in the country and was showing out. Super HM kid.
