Excited to see what these teams do in the pre-season but we hope they all schedule super tough matchups that will allow them to play the 5A and 6A schools like some of the top teams in the region have for years.
Orem
Orem has a few youngsters that have been competing at a high level already. Kai Wesley Kai Wesley 6'8" | PF Orem | 2026 State UT has been great and continues to develop. Then you have PG Chance Dastrup Chance Dastrup 5'10" | PG Orem | 2025 State UT who has been doing a great job as a PG and a shooter on the wing. Lance Reynolds Lance Reynolds 6'1" | PG Orem | 2024 UT is tough doing the same thing at the PG and off the ball guard. Trey Hiatt Trey Hiatt 6'6" | PF Orem | 2025 State UT has come a long way as of late as he is starting to really play his role on his club team that will benefit him moving forward. This team is going to be dangerous.
Ridgeline
This team will have some veteran players but the will be led by the big fella Jagger Francom Jagger Francom 6'8" | C Ridgeline | 2024 State UT who is doing work right now for Idaho Premier. This was a great choice for him as he does see a lot of time on the floor and he has been able to really work his game and sharpen his skills and develop that outside touch. He will be a load to deal with in 4A this year as he was last year. If he stays healthy Ridgeline has as good a shot as any team to make a deep run. Carson Cox Carson Cox 6'4" | CG Ridgeline | 2024 State UT will be a big time riser as he looks to showcase that athleticism and shooting ability these two could be a dangerous combo.
Dixie
Might be the best team coming back as they return a lot of talent but they will have a big fella in Kyle Lemke Kyle Lemke 6'9" | C Dixie | 2024 State UT who will average a double-double and will just run teams into the ground. Then you have John Southwick John Southwick 6'3" | SG Utah Prep | 2025 State #234 Nation UT who is having an excellent Spring at the SG position. If he can play the 2 instead of the 4 at Dixie he could really help that team a lot. He has been shooting the ball almost better than anyone in his class and he is one of the best defenders you will see. Jordan Roberts Jordan Roberts 6'0" | PG Dixie | 2024 State UT will likely average 10 assist a game with Lemke and Southwick. Dixie has a lot of pieces falling into place this off-season. Stay tuned.
Cottonwood
A 5A team that had high expectations is now in 4A. Not to many players like Chris Cox Chris Cox 6'7" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ in 4A so it will be interesting to see how he does and how much his numbers go up. Heard they got a transfer heading over to their school that will help them handle the ball and get in the lanes. If they have some shooting on the wings they will be dangerous. Look for Cox to average 20 PPG.
Sky View
Tanner Davis Tanner Davis 6'5" | PG Sky View | 2024 State UT is a dude. This kid can absolutely ball. He has a strong pull up game and he has a shot you must respect and his ability to get to the rim probably makes him the best PG in all of 4A. He will have a heavy load but there are some young players on the team that will have a chance to see the floor with a lot of p layers graduating.
