The event featured teams from all over the east coast and was chock full of talent for all levels, with college coaches from all over in attendance.
Here’s a look at part two of some of the many standouts from the PA teams in attendance.
Lorenzo Jerkins | 6’6” F | BW Elite 17U
Jerkins had a great showing in Pitt Jamfest as he led BW Elite to a 17U title, and he followed it up with another good live period showing this past weekend too. The 6’6” versatile forward is that type of player I say doesn’t really have a position, his position is basketball player and a very good one. He can outmuscle smaller defenders at the rim, he can score the ball on the perimeter and he has a toughness about him and plays with a great motor that makes him productive on the glass and the defensive end too.
Jack Dunbar Jack Dunbar 6'4" | SF Peters Township | 2024 State PA | 6’3” WG | Caveman Elite 17U
Dunbar is another player who made noise at Pitt Jamfest, and I was able to get eyes on him at Spring Jamfest and he didn’t disappoint as he put up huge numbers all weekend. The 6’3” off guard was one of the best shooter in the event, and he was not bashful as he let it fly with confidence and scored the ball at a high tip all weekend. He has effortless range and a quick release from deep, he gets hot quickly and makes shots in bunches and he’s a strong and tough kid who rebounds and competes defensively too.
Ben Costello | 6’5” WG | PA Hoops Academy 17U
Costello is another wing from Central/Western PA that is starting to gain some traction, and he was on the same type of production for a PA Hoops team that was tough to matchup with. They spread the floor well and shared the ball, and Costello was perhaps their best shooter as he sprayed it confidently from deep and showed the ability to score it in different ways. At his size he can get his shot off with little to no space, and he used his size well to finish around the rim too.
Fazl Oshodi Fazl Oshodi 6'3" | CG Friends Central | 2024 State PA | 6’3” WG | East Coast Power 17U
Oshodi is part of a very talented ECP team that features as many division one recruits as any HGSL team, with him being one of them. The 6’3” off guard has a mix of size, athleticism and shot making ability that all translates well to the next level. He has long arms and is a strong wing who can get downhill and finish at the rim, he can knock down shots from deep consistently and he’s just a natural playmaker who gets the job done on both ends of the floor.
Luke Kennevan | 6’4” WG | East Coast Power 16U
Kennevan looks like one of the better players on the 16U HGSL Circuit, as he helped them win a championship in Pitt and had some great showings against talented teams at Spring Jamfest too. He’s a high IQ wing who knows how to move to get open and he makes shots at a consistent rate from multiple areas on the floor. He can knock it down from deep, he’s excellent in the midrange area and he gets to the line a lot where he converts at a high percentage too.
