Big 6 Elite 16U Starts Final Day Impressively
Big 6 Elite looked fantastic in their early victory 64-44 over 1 Dream. The Tennessee squad was led by Clay Payne Clay Payne 6'7" | SF University School Of Nashville | 2025 State TN as the skilled four man showed he has a ton of long term projectability. Long and lanky post can score in the pick/roll and was very active on the glass. Finished out of dunker spot, ran the floor, and showed fluidity scoring 14 points. Also liked what we saw from wing Browning Collison. Strong two guard that was crafty finishing around the hoop and got put backs for 12 points. AJ Wallus has quite a bit of projection in his game with his length. Quick to the offensive glass and showed he can stretch to three for 9 points. MJ Gibbs is an athletic shooting guard that scored from all three levels racking up 15 points.
1 Dream got a nice first half out of Willie Felton Willie Felton 6'1" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2025 IL . The guard pushed in the open floor off his defense, had a soft touch finishing game, and could hit a jumper for 9 points.
LA Broncos 16U Win Thriller in Final Seconds
The 16U contest between LA Broncos and Big Time 16U went down to the wire before Cambren Price took it in to his own hands with his team down converting an and-1 ultimately getting his LA Broncos the 50-48 win. Price was solid throughout the game with his shot making and scoring at the cup in the open floor for 14 points. Terin Landor is a two guard that was explosive slashing and finish for 11 points. Rashaed Smith is a lefty bucket getter that scored from the mid-range, crashed the glass, and scored with nifty finishes for 12 points.
Big Time guard Blake Shoufler caught our attention with his playmaking from his lead guard spot especially in pick/roll situations. Also mixed in scoring with several threes and a diverse finishing package in the paint.
Metro East Talent Shine as Illinois Orange 17U Completely Dominate
Illinois Orange 17U flexed their muscles again in a 60-32 victory against Tune Squad. They were led by three Belleville West rising seniors. Class of 2024 6’0” two guard Jordan Lacey Jordan Lacey 6'0" | SG Belleville West | 2024 State IL has major hops and that was shown on several dunks and plays above the rim! Active defender that crashes the offensive boards well for his size. He had 15 points. David Marshall David Marshall 6'3" | SG Belleville West | 2024 State IL is a wing that has been on our radar for a while. Legit three level scorer that can take a bump in the paint, drain a stop and pop pull up, or cash in a three spotting up. Went for 10 points. Five man Bryce Newsome Bryce Newsome 6'7" | C Belleville West | 2024 State IL stands at 6’7” with a big frame, but moves very well for his size. Right now mostly an area rebounder and defensive presence, but watch for the offense to emerge!
Missouri 2026 Post to Monitor
We caught part of Arsenal 15U game on Sunday morning and Ismael Isidor Ismael Isidor MO really made an impression. The 6’7” power forward has a grown man body already snatching offensive rebounds for put backs and dominating on the defensive end with his shot blocking.
HDK 16U Tops Chicago Grinders In Tight In-State Contest
Last game we saw in St. Louis was HDK 16U recording a 58-55 win against Chicago Grinders. Belleville East shooting guard Jacori Brown Jacori Brown 6'0" | SG Belleville East | 2025 State IL put on a show recording 19 points as the big bodied two guard was in attack mode getting in the lane where he converted in a variety of ways along with knocking in 15 foot jumpers. His high school teammate Christian Newsome started out strong scoring on crafty drives and putting touch on scoop shots/runners for 11 points. Mascoutah point guard Corey Harris Jr Corey Harris Jr 5'11" | PG Mascoutah | 2025 IL is a high IQ lead guard that can run the show doing a nice job in the pick/roll along with using quickness off the bounce. Dropped 9 points, but it was his passing that made the biggest impression.
Prosser point guard Ramsey Momon was excellent as the scoring lead guard that hit runners, baseline takes for and-1s, and multiple scoop shots for 16 points. Shawn Donaldson is a smaller point guard from Indiana that hit multiple mid-range jumpers, a three, and was a smooth passer. Physically the most intriguing Chicago Grinders prospect is 6’7” Aaron McClure. Strong and broad shouldered four man that rebounds in area and flashed defensively.
