(Gateway UAA 16U): The 6’6″ 2025 forward was a dominant force in the game that I watched in the morning session. He is a matchup nightmare at 240 pounds as he can control the action in the paint with his variety of moves and nice touch around the basket. He is just as effective on the perimeter as he can operate on the high post as a passer and ball handler. His turn and face game is good as he can take his man off the dribble or knock down the jumper.
*******
Joey Matteoni (Drive 5 Elite 17U): A 6’8″ 2025 forward from Blue Valley Northwest (KS) who was very impressive in the late afternoon game that I watched him. His size and high motor made him very difficult to handle around the basket. He was getting to the boards and keeping the ball high and finishing with regularity. His post game was strong as he had a nice jump hook and turnaround jumper in the lane. He was also getting buckets on rim runs and he blocked two shots on the defensive end.
******
Chris Ketchum ( Arsenal Hoops ): A 6’4″ 2024 guard from St. Charles High who is an excellent all-purpose player who can fill many roles to help his team succeed. He’s an excellent athlete who attacks the rim on the dribble very well. He also has a quick jump on the offensive boards for putbacks. He can take the ball and facilitate offense with his playmaking skills. He is also a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions.
******
Nehemiah Hamilton (Columbia Supreme): The 5’11” 2024 point guard from Capital City is a dynamic two-way performer. He can be quite disruptive on the defensive end with his quickness and tenacity. His on-ball pressure was excellent as he can pick up ball handlers in the full court. He can pick pockets on the perimeter and take charges in the lane. He also displayed his offensive chops with good dribble penetration moves and a nice 3-point stroke.
*******
Jack Perry (Missouri 66ers): The 6’3″ 2025 guard from Galena, KS put on one of the most impressive shooting displays that I watched during the spring grassroots season. He scored a game-high 34 points and made a scintillating 10 3-pointers in the game. His shooting percentage for the game was well above the 50 percent mark. He got into an early rhythm with three early triples and it continued throughout the rest of the game. His range was deep and his release was quick. It was quite an exhibition.

Caden Casey Caden Casey 6'1" | CG Park Hills Central | 2024 State MO (Hardwood Elite): The 6’0″ 2024 combo guard from Park Hills Central had a solid all-around offensive game in helping his team to a victory in the game that I watched. He plays off the ball very well as he doesn’t force the issue too much, but he is very good when he asserts himself. He shot the ball well from distance with three 3-pointers and he got to the middle area as well to knock down a few jumpers.
******
Bryant Hedrick (Chicago Demons): A 6’0″ 2024 point guard from Chicago De LaSalle who is a tremendous matchup problem for opposing guards trying to defend him. He is so strong physically that he would post up smaller guards and get buckets in the paint. He is also a dynamic scoring threat on the perimeter who can score from all three levels. He is a good shot creator who can create separation from defenders with his strength and good handles.
