For this series of articles, I will be taking a look into each conference to see where some seniors are headed to play. These might not be everyone playing at the next level, these are guys who have announced it.
Jaylin Stewart Jaylin Stewart 6'7" | SG Garfield | 2023 State #71 Nation WA – Garfield HS
Jaylin is one of the best players in the entire state of Washington. He was the leader on a very deep Garfield team and should see his game translate to the next level easily. He gets to his spots nicely and has great length on the court. He will be taking his talents to the University of Connecticut.
Christian King Christian King 6'8" | SG Seattle Prep | 2023 State WA – Seattle Prep
Christian is able to score at all 3 levels with ease using his 6’8″ frame. He is a lethal mid-range scorer but his ability to step out and hit the deep shot is what stands out in his game. He will have a smooth transition to the college level as he stays local to attend the University of Washington.
Mason Williams Mason Williams 6'4" | PG O'Dea | 2023 State WA – O’Dea HS
Mason is a great overall player who brings quite a bit to the court. He can get to the bucket nicely, using his shifty moves to get by defenders. He can also step out and hit the deep shot very, very well. He defends at a high level as well. He is headed to Eastern Washington University next year.
Emmett Marquardt Emmett Marquardt 6'6" | SF Garfield | 2023 State WA – Garfield HS
Emmett has a great frame standing at 6’9″ so his body is already college ready. He’s a great shooter who stretches out the floor for any team very nicely. He’s on such a talented team it took him a bit to showcase his skills, but when he did he proved to be a top player in the class. Emmett is headed to Eastern Washington University.
Miles Clark Miles Clark 6'7" | SF O'Dea | 2023 State WA – O’Dea HS
Miles is a do-it all player on the court for O’Dea. With the team having so much talent around him, he isn’t relied on to do too much. He showcases his game in many ways, being able to shoot from deep, having good post moves, passing the ball to open teammates, running the court, and defending the rim effectively. Clark is headed to Air Force.
Miles Gurske Miles Gurske 6'0" | PG Rainier Beach | 2023 State WA – Rainier Beach HS
Miles had a fantastic senior year at Rainier Beach, helping lead the team deep into the playoffs. Gurske scored at all three levels very effectively and showed the ability to be a leader on the court. He also showed his ability to be a closer end of the game. Miles is headed to Cameron University.
Solomon Barnes Solomon Barnes 6'3" | SG Nathan Hale | 2023 State WA – Nathan Hale HS
Solomon played very good for Nathan Hale last season, helping lead the team to a winning record. Barnes has a high motor who attacks the ball with force. He rebounds really well for his position as he always attacks the boards. Barnes is headed to Edmonds CC.
Jamari Jackson Jamari Jackson 6'1" | PG Garfield | 2023 State WA – Garfield HS
Jamari was a great facilitator for Garfield last season. He was surrounded by so much scoring talent that he didn’t have to showcase that part of his game but trust me, Jamari can score the ball well. He has an efficient deep shot and is shifty with the ball when attacking the rim.
Finn Moody Finn Moody 6'5" Ingraham | 2023 WA – Ingraham HS
Finn has a great frame standing at 6’5″. He is aggressive on the court; crashing the boards hard often and attacking the rim with force. He can create well for his teammates and find his spots nicely, hitting his shots effectively. Moody is headed to Edmonds CC.
