Unfortunately, we were able to just cover one day here with other commitments at other events going on also last weekend. Who were some of the Top Performers we saw today? Well, let’s break this down into a few parts as we saw plenty of action. #RecruitThePalmettoState
Post Graduate Bound Next Year:
Technically Deuce Hudson Deuce Hudson 5'11" | PG West Florence | 2023 State SC is part of the 2023 class since he graduated from West Florence HS recently. Hudson is running now with Upward Stars SE 3SSB Pee Dee 17U here on the Grassroots Circuit. Deuce will take his talents to Combine Academy this fall and do a postgraduate year.
New Team This Time Around:
Christian Andrews Christian Andrews 5'11" | PG Dorman | 2024 State SC had previously been running with 1 of 1 Academy. Andrews a point from Dorman HS was running with the Game Changers this past weekend at the Phenom G3 Showcase. Andrews a pass first point guard was directing traffic and finding the open man all day long.
Next Level Elite Duo Plays Well:
Cameron O’Kelley Cameron O’Kelley 6'3" | CG Seneca | 2024 State SC and Franklin Davis Franklin Davis 6'3" | SG Landrum | 2024 State SC provided 40 points in a victory over CC Elite 2024 today here at the Phenom G3 Showcase. O’Kelley came out firing and never looked back on his way to scoring 24 points. Cameron who attends Seneca HS in the Upstate finished 4 three pointers while hitting everything he threw up today it seemed. He never seemed to rush his shot or selection all game long. When the ball was thrown to him, he was always in position to receive it and shoot it from the pocket.
Davis logs a lot of minutes on the floor for NLE. Franklin played both guard spots today but for sure at times seems most comfortable off the ball. Davis was able to drop some short jumpers when he wasn’t looking to slash to the cup. He finished with 16 points in the win today. Davis plays at Landrum HS where he averaged 20.6 ppg, 6 rebounds and 3.2 assists this past season for the Cardinals. He enters his senior season next fall with 1,033 career points.
Wilson and Green Help Upward Stars SE 3SSB Pee Dee to victory:
Ghaleb Wilson Ghaleb Wilson 6'2" | SF Andrew Jackson | 2024 State SC and Michael Green Michael Green 6'8" | PF Darlington | 2024 State SC helped Upward Stars SE 3SSB Pee Dee 17U to a victory over a very scrappy Team Hustle (Clover). Wilson just screams results and production. Ghaleb will dive on the floor, pick up a charge, grab a rebound outside of his area and just make HUSTLE plays. He’s the ultimate team guy who desires to WIN games at the end of the day.
Wilson attends Andrew Jackson HS in Kershaw. He scored 18 points while not attempting a three-pointer all day long.
Green is coming around and turning the corner with his confidence on the floor. He’s the ultimate rim-runner forward at the next level. Michael can alter and challenge shots on the defensive end of the floor with his long wingspan. Green has a nice touch from the foul line and seems to do his best work around the basket with just being active at all times. Michael attends Darlington HS.
