Running with a 17U squad for the weekend, the still growing 6 foot 4 prospect passes the eye test of a skilled scorer from deep and mid-range. He has good form when shooting and dribbling to create space in iso situations. With improving size and athleticism, it will be interesting to see how Kim grows to handle more physicality. As right now he’s on the lighter side. Facing more action against 17U prospects should help expedite that process and improve the gritty aspects needed to succeed in college.
Highlights
On Sunday morning, the Purcell Dragon put on a complete show in a huge victory for his Wolfpack squad. It started with his ability to navigate traffic to find ways to score in the paint. A mixture of floaters and finishes at the rim. While also making good finds of open teammates, including pick and roll chemistry with Isaiah Amous. The Wolfpack squad is also filled with quality shooters and Freeman did a good job of keeping the ball moving. No slouch himself as a shooter, he looked particularly good in one instance of moving off the ball before burying a catch and shoot opportunity.
The shifty youngster has a good handle and tempo to his game. It’s most evident when pushing it in transition, and he’s able to keep defenders on their heels. His peskiness on defense also nicely compliments his up tempo playing style. A next step for Billingsly will be better decision making when driving into traffic. Playing up in the 16U division and on the smaller side he needs to find a better balance of when to score himself and find openings to his teammates.

Another 2026 prospect in the 16u Division, Chaffin has the combination of wingspan and athleticism to be effective as an off guard. He’s a versatile player thanks to the natural traits, and during a Sunday morning contest he shot it particular well from catch and shoot opportunities.
Austin Bonilla
Austin Bonilla
The disruptive point guard showed an uncanny ability to seemingly always be in the right place at the time to record steals or provide last second help defense. Along with his disruptive defensive play, Bonilla quarterbacked a well ran team by making great passes and reads.
Kendrick Carr
Kendrick Carr
Carr hasn’t even started his high school career, but was one of the most impressive long term prospects at the event. There’s a bit of electricity to his game with his ability to get down hill, and finish even when fouled. The juice was also evident on the defensive end with the way he racked up steals and blocks. The Arkansas guard has the smooth, “effortless” movements that are usually associated with high upside prospects.
