Here is the second batch of players that are good in Region 1 that are coming back. We can’t wait to cover this region and any newcomers that emerge.
I have full faith that we have not seen the full arsenal of Mekhi. Last year he was on a tear and he continues to improve this offseason. That vision and passing ability has reached a new level and his confidence. When you look at his running mate who can also handle the ball he can shift over and score very well. With his all-around ability Layton has as good a chance as anyone to be really good in Region 1.
Highlights
Might be the best shooter in Region 1 and that lefty smooth follow-through is nice. Coleman might have to do double duty as a ball handler and shooter. Look for his scoring to double. The kid can score and he can stretch the floor. The two man game at Davis next year could really be tough to stop. Do not forget that Coleman will find ways to get to the rim and even to the free-throw-line.
Highlights
A little bit off the radar but the kid can hoop. He is going to be a three-level scorer that will be able to keep the defense from sagging of or over helping. Jayden has the ability to hurt you off the bounce and catch and shoot.
We got a few glimpses of what Malachi can do last year and this time around we are excited to see what he can do as he will be on the floor a lot more. That stretch ability and perimeter play is going to cause some issues for defenders. He can also use that height to make easy work of smaller defenders in the post.
