Howard made a positive first impression. He aggressively seeks the rim and is a contact magnet while doing so. He went 8-8 from the foul line, part of his team-high 16 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 3 steals and 2 blocks in a 53-50 overtime win against Team Scoot.
Tucked away in the GIAA, Phillips has emerged as one of the association’s best players after averaging 23.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.3 steals. Zack fit in well with Team Forrest, using his quickness to get into the paint. Phillips filled up the box score on Saturday with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block.
A big season is on the horizon for Ced Haynes. Standing around 6-foot-3, Haynes has nice size and a burst of athleticism on the perimeter. He sank a pair of threes against Team Scoot and showcased an ability to get to the basket. He finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
Archer will likely turn over the keys to Jaylen Richardson Jaylen Richardson 6’0″ | PG Archer | 2025 NC in the backcourt. He’s a strong compact guard that switches up speeds and creates separation. Richardson is a good finisher who can accept contact and still convert baskets. He sees the floor well, using his strength to be able to handle longer defenders.

Motor is no issue for Rogers. Listed at 5-foot-9, Jaylen uses his low center of gravity to his advantage, scurrying around the floor to make plays. Rogers can shoot the three and is lightning quick downhill when run off the line. He posted 7 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in the first game of the tournament.
