The event gives us an opportunity to get a look at some of NorCal’s prospect in the 2025 class before the Spring Period ends. Here’s a a group that stood out at this one day event with more than 40 teams from the NorCal area.
Matthew Norris
Matthew Norris
He’s a long energetic prospect with improving skills. He’s an active court runner with some aggressiveness going towards the basket. He has the length to finish right at the rim and above. He can withstand a hit on the drive. He can hit a 3ptr as well as pull up in the short range. He’s a long arm defender who’ll get his share of rebounds.
Jeremiah Phillips
Jeremiah Phillips
He played both 16, and 17 at this event. He’s a solid body athlete with a good set of guard skills. He’s not a fast guard he has the body and handles to get where he needs to go. He has good passing and vision to run the point, he uses his body to get into the paint for strong finishes through contact and paint jumpers. He can hit the rhythm 3.
Vincent Crisp
Vincent Crisp
Crisp played with good balance going up strong, with good bounce off two feet in the paint finishing with points, and going for rebounds at the 16U level. He’s good on the catch and shoot with long 3’s on the perimeter. His dribble gets him into the paint, he uses his screens to get open. He brings a good effort.
Brandon Roundtree
Brandon Roundtree
He’s a solid body guard with a good defensive stance and lateral movement to prevent his man from turning the corner and getting into the paint. He has good handles, attacks left or right, with strength and stays on balance to finish after the bump. He’s on Wright’s Watch List.
Gavin Rendle
Gavin Rendle
A fast guard who sprints the court in transition setting up along the 3pt line where he has to be accounted for because of his ability to knock down the open 3pt shot. He pushes fast with the ball, has good vision to make the pass up court. He’s a good ball mover and will finish in traffic.
He’s long with a growing body who can play multiple positions. He’s a big guard who started out as the primary ball handler setting the offense in half-court sets. He has good handles and vision and can see over smaller defenders up top, and hit the paint jumper. He hit the corner 3, finished over defenders in transition with his length.
Julian Gibbs
Julian Gibbs
He’s long with good strides up the court going both ways. He can finish at the rim in transition, he’s a decent ball handler, a ball mover. He has some quickness to get into the paint from the perimeter, he hit a corner 3ptr. His length and foot speed allows him to defend multiple positions at 6’5.
