This is simply what we do at Prep Hoops. Memorial Day weekend was a perfect time to make the trip down to Memphis for Nike EYBL Session 4. While taking in the action at the Memphis Sports & Events Center I primarily focused on covering the Indy Heat programs plus the other EYBL programs that feature Indiana high school prospects. However, I also took the opportunity to get eyes on some of the other top prospects from around the country. Let’s dive on in and highlight Monday’s top performers nationally.
In my opinion, Cadeau was the best guard at Nike EYBL Session 4. The North Carolina commit was absolutely excellent on Monday as he led NH Lightning to a big win over the Oakland Soldiers to finish the weekend 3-2. Cadeau scored 29 points while also dishing out 15 assists in what was probably the most impressive individual performance of the weekend. He is so strong off of the dribble, is a truly elite passer, and can create his own scoring opportunities as well.
It was another dominant performance around the basket for this 6’8″ big man. Johnson went for 19 points and 16 rebounds while also blocking 3 shots to finish off a 4-1 weekend for Meanstreets. The Illinois commit plays with such a high motor, is truly dominant on the glass, and displays good patience as a finisher in the post. He was one of the most impressive post players at Nike EYBL Session 4 in Memphis.
Knueppel showed up on the standout list all three days this Memorial Day weekend at Nike EYBL Session 4. His final game on Monday was his best yet going off for 37 points to go with 8 rebounds on impressive 13-23, 6-11, 5-7 shooting splits. The 4-star guard out of Wisconsin is certainly in contention to be considered the best shooter in the Class of 2024. He was the leading scorer through five games this weekend averaging 28.2 points per game and shooting 23-48 (47.9%) from beyond the arc.
Highlights
The Family’s backcourt is loaded with Class of 2025 talent and on Monday it was this 6’4″ physical guard that led his team to victory. McKenney came up big down the stretch finishing with 25 points and 8 rebounds in a comeback win against Nightrydas Elite. He is so hard to keep from getting to his spot due to his size and strength as a guard. The high four-star prospect put on a show all weekend long and remains a highly sought after Big Ten recruit in the Class of 2025.
Miller and the Oakland Soldiers came up short in a shootout against NH Lightning on Monday afternoon, but the Houston commit scored 25 points while connecting on 3-7 three-point attempts and pulled down 7 rebounds. The athletic 6’4″ guard showed off his two-way ability on the perimeter all weekend long proving to be a perfect fit for Coach Kelvin Sampson and the Cougars style of play.
In the final game of the weekend, this strong, athletic point guard came up just shy of a triple-double. Nowell capped off a 5-0 weekend for Team Final by putting up 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists against Team CP3 on Monday. He is excellent off of the dribble, consistently gets into the paint, and seems to always make the right read whether it be a pass to a teammate or scoring it on his own. One of the best pure playmakers and point guards at Nike EYBL Session 4.
Coach Bruce Pearl has a way of landing guards that fit his style of play perfectly year after year. Pettiford is an explosive, athletic guard that will thrive in Auburn’s up-tempo, free-flowing style of play. The left-handed scorer went off for 25 points while connecting on 6-7 three-point attempts in a win for NH Lightning over the Oakland Soldiers. In the five games this weekend, Pettiford 15-35 (42.9%) from deep and averaged 15.8 points per game.

ProSkills picked up an impressive 85-83 victory over Team United on Monday on the back of 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists from this talented Class of 2025 guard playing up a year at the 17u level. Robinson is a dynamic guard that can score it efficiently from all three levels and routinely makes plays for his teammates as well. He should see a major rise in the national rankings whenever they are next updated.
This 6’5″ wing with elite athleticism, length, and all-around physical tools dominated in Expressions win over the Georgia Stars to finish off the weekend. Sanon has quickly rose through the national rankings reaching as high as #4 in the country per On3. He is a good three-point shooter, plays above the rim at the end of his drives, and flashes some real two-way ability as a versatile defender. On Monday he scored 29 points to go with 11 rebounds while shooting 4-9 from three-point range.
Scott helped Team United keep pace with ProSkills on Monday, but ultimately fell just short losing 85-83. However, the high four-star guard scored 22 points showcasing his well-rounded offensive game. The 6’5″ long, athletic guard creates for himself off of the dribble, elevates up over the defense, and continues to improve as a playmaker for others as well. He shot 3-7 from beyond the arc in the game against ProSkills as well. Developing that consistent outside shot would really take his game to the next level.
