Prep Hoops Florida scout Ross Van De Griek is on the grounds of the Legacy Sports USA in Phoenix covering the 2nd Session of the Nike EYBL Circuit. Here are the top standouts from Sunday:
The 6-7 rising sophomore wing is a solidified playmaker and is on pace to be one of the top ranked prospects in the nation for the Class of 2025. Greer has the ability to finish efficiently around the rim with either hand. His jolt of athleticism was also brought to the attention as he is a vicious finisher. Greer also played both guard positions at times where he was initiating the offense for ProSkills.
The 6-4 combo guard is the true definition of a leader when he is out on the floor. His scoring and playmaking were unmatched throughout the weekend at the Nike EYBL in Phoenix. Boswell showed a lot of toughness when he was attacking the basket and used his strength to his advantage. Boswell also displayed creativity in finding the open shooters by making the extra, unselfish pass.
The 6-7 sophomore wing made it extremely hard for defenders to stop him as he is a true three-level scoring threat. Despite struggling to score in the first half, Wimbley picked it up in the second half against Arizona Unity where he finished with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. He was also extremely active on the defensive end using his length and versatility to his advantages. Expect his recruitment to begin heating up once again after the spring Live Period has concluded and as we gear into the summer.
The 6-5 combo guard played a key role for Strive For Greatness on Sunday as he was knocking down open jump shots at a consistent rate. Burries was flashing to his spot and can create his own shot time after time again. Expect his recruitment to start heating up after this weekend after he received offers from San Diego State, TCU and Washington State.
The 6-1 point guard and Stetson University commit had himself a great weekend for Florida Rebels at the Nike EYBL in Phoenix. MacGregor averaged 13.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in three games. MacGregor was at his best when attacking downhill towards the basket and finishing with contact around the rim.
The 6-3 combo guard was scoring on all three levels for Paul George Elite as he finished with a game-high 20 points and four rebounds in their win over Georgia Stars on Sunday. Richardson also played with complete control and pace as he didn’t force a bad pass or a bad shot. His high-level finishing abilities around the rim was what stood out to the college coaches. Richardson has recently picked up offers from Alabama and Cincinnati following his games at the Nike EYBL in Phoenix.
