We highlighted Kapaun’s Gabe Adams for his day one work with Wichita Padres in a separate article.
Here are five other Kansas 2026s who stood out on day one of the Midwest Grind Session:
Kobe Jackson
Kobe Jackson
Jackson was a playmaker for Kansas Select. First and foremost, he lit it up from deep. He shot his team back into a game when he came off the bench with his team in a deep early hole. He is also a slick ball handler who can get anywhere on the court and gets off acrobatic shots in a crowd. He’s quick and springy and good at slithering his way through traffic.

A big athlete at the guard position, Myovela was surrounded by so much talent on SBA, he didn’t have to shoulder a big burden. But this guy is really talented and athletic. He showed it with a couple of transition dunks. He showed vision distributing the ball and unselfishness setting up teammates. He jumped passing lanes and picked pockets on the defensive end.
Isaac Schroeder
Isaac Schroeder
Schroeder was a warrior in the paint for LTD Select. He demonstrated some nice fundamentals combined with athleticism, getting off jump hooks and crashing the boards. He showed he can step out to drop it from deep and he also helped handle the ball in the backcourt.
Rocco Keller
Rocco Keller
There were a lot of impressive big men at the Midwest Grind Session, but Keller really stood out as a big man who impacts the game without taking a ton of shots. He is a fine passer from the high post or on the bounce, hitting cutters and finding shooters. He made some nice outlet passes and looks up the court in transition too. He has a great midrange game and is tough on the glass and protecting the rim.

Martin caught fire and put on a show on Saturday. He knocked down several 3-pointers in both games. Martin has length, spring and quickness to go with his fine ball skills. He remained calm in an intense battle, handling the ball under extreme pressure. He keeps his eyes up and directs the offense, but he can create his own shot.
