The Midwest Grind Session in Wichita brought together some of the freshmen from around the central states for an intense weekend.

The 15U ranks were so loaded, we produced a first and second team of all stars. (see the first team here)

Here is the second team 15U all-stars from the Midwest Grind Session:

PG – [player_tooltip player_id='2827075' first='Tayton' last='Jackson'], 6-foot guard, Bristow, Ok Swift:

Jackson was slowed on Sunday by an injury, but he made a big enough impression on Saturday to earn a spot on the all-star team. He's a slick ball handler who made things tick for Ok Swift. He has the ball on a string and cranks up the tempo. His shot-making and creativity generated points every time he was on the floor.

CG – Jordan Webb, 6-foot-3 guard, Wichita Northwest, HOH:

HOH had a flock of guys who could fill it up, but Webb was a unique weapon. He's got great length for a guy running the point, with an ability to score at every level. His gliding style makes the game look easy. He drops passes off the drive, setting up scorers for easy buckets. He's also a problem on the defensive end with his length and quick hands.

SG – Aiden Nevins, 6-foot-1 guard, St. Dominic, Mavericks Elite

The Mavericks were a tough out all weekend, with interchangeable guards and some long, talented bigs. Nevins was a leader and productive threat all weekend. He got a lot of buckets off the downhill attack and kept the offense in synch.

SF – Franklin Ekue, 6-foot forward, Andover Central, Wichita Padres:

Franklin was one of the most interesting and unique players at the Midwest Grind Session. He spent equal amounts of time running the point and posting up on the block. He was a bulldog on the glass and defensively all weekend, and when the Padres needed a play, he was likely the one making it. Ekue can handle the ball and is constantly and relentlessly on the attack full court.

PF – Walker McClellan, 6-foot-3 forward, Andover High School, SBA:

With so much talent around, it was hard to stand out on the SBA squad. But McClellan made a real impression over the weekend. He's a long post who plays a rugged, selfless, team-first game. Don't let his frequent smile on the court mislead you. He's a competitor who was relentless on the glass, passed the ball well and was efficient in his shot selection.

C – Kamerion Bodney, 6-foot-3 center, Wichita Heights, HOH:

HOH was loaded with playmakers. But when you first see them, the first guy you notice is Bodney. He's got a mature body and explosive physicality. He is a rim protector who can chase down the fastest guards. Bodney isn't confined to the low post. He hit from three and showed he can put the ball on the floor. He was the physical anchor to the terrific HOH defense.
