The Midwest Grind Session in Wichita brought together some of the freshmen from around the central states for an intense weekend.

The 15U ranks were so loaded, it was tough to settle on an all-star team. So we added a sixth spot on the team. Here is the first team 15U all-stars from the Midwest Grind Session:

PG – Omari Stallings, 5-foot-9 guard, Putnam City High School, Oklahoma Icons Elite:

This guy was pretty remarkable. Stallings doesn't let his size prevent him from attacking the goal, and his ability to hit contested shots was a thing to behold. He was also lights out from behind the arc. When his team struggled, he could just take things into his own hands and get hoops in bunches. He's an on-ball defensive demon and has limitless energy and spring.

CG – [player_tooltip player_id='2208970' first='Brayden' last='Myovela'], 6-foot-2 guard, Maize High School, SBA:

He plays point guard, but Myovela has the body of a power forward. He ran with the most talented collection of players at the Midwest Grind Session, so he didn't play all the minutes or take a lot of shots. But he has all the tools in the toolbox at his disposal and made his teammates better.

SG – [player_tooltip player_id='2211361' first='Jilihn' last='Timmons'], 5-foot-10 guard, Wichita Heights High School, HOH:

Timmons was the ringleader of an entire team of bucket-getters. He hit from deep at a high rate, when he wasn't dribbling into jumpers and acrobatic finishes. He's a nifty ball handler who can get into the paint and create shot opportunities. He didn't miss many. He was also part of a ferocious defensive gauntlet that produced a lot of turnovers.

SF – Aiden Sharpton, 6-foot-4 forward, Broken Arrow High School, Ok Swift:

Sharpton was a versatile big who ran the floor and was all over the glass. He demonstrated ability to pass and to be a threat from outside the paint. He plays like a big, particularly defending opposing posts. But he also is active in passing lanes and can push the ball up the floor.

PF - Gabe Adams, 6-foot-3 forward, Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School, Wichita Padres (pictured:

The front line on this all-star team is really interchangeable. Adams impressed playing big, keeping the ball high and scoring a bunch on follows of missed shots. He also was really good in the high post, passing to his teammates who cut to the goal, ran backdoor or moved to open spots on the perimeter. He played with toughness and intensity, defending the rim for a relatively small lineup.

C - [player_tooltip player_id='2211330' first='Rocco' last='Keller'], 6-foot-4 forward, Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School, SBA:

Kapaun just continues to produce these long limbed, skilled forwards. We'll insert Keller in the five spot on this team because he was one of the biggest players in the 15U ranks. Like the rest of his SBA teammates, Keller did a lot besides shoot to make an impression. This deep, balanced team shared the ball and helped each other throughout their weekend domination. Keller is big and tall, and he is a load in the paint. He is just as apt to drop the ball off to a teammate as he is to drop a midrange jumper.
