Collin Bowles
Collin Bowles was one of the deadliest shooters I saw all weekend regardless of age groups. Bowles is a 2026 guard plays up a year with Unity Sports Academy but stands out nonetheless. He doesn’t need much space to get his jumper off and shoots it well off the dribble or the catch. Collin Bowles is certainly a 2026 to keep tabs on in Virginia.
Dezmon Ainsworth
Dezmon Ainsworth
Unity Sports Academy had a strong 3-1 weekend in Hampton, a variety of different pieces helping them get there. Dezmon Ainsworth led the scoring charge and went for 32 points in the Saturday morning game. Ainsworth is a strong, physical guard with good size at 6’3. He likes to get up and down the floor and that’s how he scored a lot of his points. As Ainsworth adds polish to his offensive skillset, he’ll establish himself as a legitimate college prospect.
Brandon Anderson
Brandon Anderson
Brandon Anderson had a great weekend with River City Reign, a 6’2 point guard that glides across the open floor. Anderson is a transition killer and punished teams when they failed to stop the ball. He finished well at the rim and scored some timely 2nd half buckets for River City. Brandon Anderson is certainly a new name that I’m holding onto after my trip to Virginia.
Tyell Saunders was undoubtedly one of the most impressive prospects in the 16u division, a twitchy but strong ball-handler that can fill up the score sheet. He changes speeds really well and opposing guards struggled to keep him in front. Great hands on the defensive end too, several steals and tipped passes. Saunders averaged 21 PPG throughout the weekend and tallied several game MVP honors.
Ryan Jackson
Ryan Jackson
Ryan Jackson tore it up in Hampton this weekend including a 21-point performance against Unleashed that caught my attention. Jackson is an undersized point guard at 5’9 but his speed and quickness give him an advantage of his own, allowing him to penetrate defenses and push the ball up the floor. His jumper was on display as well, multiple hits from mid-range and beyond the arc. Jackson substantially upped his stock this weekend.
