There was high level talent in the building. At the biggest event thus far in the 2023 circuit season, these prospects gave us all a snippet of what is in store for the summer. In wins and losses players gave it their all and competed at the highest level in grassroots basketball. Here below are some of the names that showed up and showed out at Prep Hoops Next “Battle Of The Lakes”.
Genndrick Davis | ECI
Davis was a jack of all trades for ECI and a major contributor to their championship run. The stocky wing found himself boarding in the paint and pushing the ball in transition to score before the defense set up. His shot selection was a game changer for his team. Most impressive was his ability to drive and finish through contact.
Gibson Kinnebrew | Impact Basketball
Kinnebrew proved to be an inside-out scoring wing as he showed off his balanced attack for Impact Basketball. His athletic ability and strong drives to the rim were impactful all weekend. Most impressive was his ability to relocate to open space and knock down jumpers.
Jordan Evans | WI Playground Club
Evans proved to be multi-faceted and reliable on both ends of the floor for Wisconsin Playground Club. He has a next level ready motor and athleticism about him. His ability to stay in front of handlers on defense, and blow by defenders on offense was most impressive.
Quantae Alexander | Iowa Prep
Alexander was an energy leader for Iowa Prep, his top-notch hustle and workhorse mentality led by example all weekend. He proved to be a versatile defender by defending one through five. Most consistent was his ability to attack from the perimeter and finish at the rim.
