Friday night I saw 5 games with 10 different teams of 15 and 16U teams only.
Here were seven Eye Catchers on the night:
Amare King Amare King 6'5" | CG Casteel | 2025 State AZ Casteel (Legion of Hoops 16 Navy) (Pictured)
A bigger combo guard was the star of the night. He can drive and kick with very good timing on his passes. He is a long defender who will take charges and is a good help side defender. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid to the three and has a controlled euro game in heavy traffic. He had one nasty in and out dribble that froze the defender to get by and finish.
Joseph Lindsey Joseph Lindsey 5'10" | PG Mountain Pointe | 2026 State AZ Mountain Pointe (Legion of Hoops 16 Navy)
A pure point guard can control the tempo of the game. He is a true dimer as he slithers in passes to teammates. He is very fast but controlled. He seems to be a step faster then most on the court as not many can stay in front of him. He can euro his way to the basket and can shoot it from the perimeter.
Kaleb Hilliard Kaleb Hilliard 5'10" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2025 State AZ AZ Compass Prep (Uptempo Elite 2025)
A scoring point guard who can rattle in threes off the catch. He has quick hands to block shots or steal the ball. He will throw up the court passes and uses his jets in the open court. He is a smart defender knowing where to stand if his opponent favors his left or right hand.
Mitchell Boose PG 5’10 2025 AZ Compass Prep (Uptempo Elite 2025)
A quick and tough point guard takes contact well and will give a hard ball fake and get by his defender He has active hands and plays with a motor to defend. He will hit the catch three when given space and time and pull-up from mid-range. He can thread the needle and plays fast.
Jayden Ramnanan PG 6’1 2025 Marcus/TX (New Mexico D1 2025-1)
A pure point guard from Texas who will throw ropes up the court and will drive and kick it to a teammate. He has a stronger upper body to handle the contact and can rattle in deep threes. He is very athletic to throw it down on the break and has good instincts on the defensive end.
Makiya Berryhill CG 5’10 2026 Legacy/ND (Pack 2026)
A combo guard from North Dakota with a high IQ and good instincts to block shots, rebound and collect steals with quicker hands. Offensively he will create his own offense off the dribble, hit perimeter jumpers with range and play with energy.
Francisco Lopez-Felix PG 5’8 2026 Mountain Pointe (Arizona Firestorm Sanders 2026)
An undersized but tough pure point guard. The ball is on a string for him and he has speed on speed in the open court. He is a bully on-ball defender and plays with heart. He is very hard to take the ball from him and he will split defenders easily with speed and a tight handle.
