The move: 6 to 4
Robinson’s jump is small, just up two spots, but a leap into the top five in a loaded 2025 class is significant. He has continued to improve to the point where it should be a real question as to what sport he ends up playing at the next level. He already holds some Power 5 offers as a wide receiver prospect, and while his size could potentially hold him back from picking up the Power 5 offers on the hardwood, he has shown throughout the spring with a really good D1 Minnesota team that he can play basketball at an extremely high level as well. He’s a dynamic athlete who impacts the game in a major way on both ends of the floor.

(Cedar Falls)
The move: 9 to 6
Galvin has had one of the best springs of any player in the state, regardless of class, showing his all-around ability for the Barnstormers. At times, he’s scoring in bunches, routinely knocking down shots off the dribble or the catch. Other times, he’s getting his teammates involved at a remarkably high clip, breaking down the defense, getting them to collapse onto him, and then finding an open teammate. He’s a bulldog on the defensive end who really puts pressure on opposing ball handlers, and he’s a high IQ player on both ends of the floor who will act as another coach on the court. He’s not the athlete that Robinson is, and his size may limit his upside a bit, but he’s a flat-out player who impacts the game on both ends every time he steps on the court.

(Johnston)
The move: 16 to 12
An athletic 6-3 wing who continues his ascent up the 2025 rankings, Richardson led the Dragons in scoring as a sophomore, pouring in 11.3 points a game to go with 5.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He’s an efficient scorer who is at his best when he’s playing downhill and using his combination of length, athleticism, and skill to get to the rim for buckets. He’s a good enough perimeter shooting threat that it needs to be respected, and he provides a ton of versatility on the defensive end.

The move: 21 to 18
Driscoll is coming off a great sophomore year in which he led the Bulldogs to the 2A state tournament, averaging 20.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 4.2 steals with impressive 52-34-85 shooting splits. A confident guard who can score from all three levels, he has a great feel for the game and is a fantastic passer.

The move: 31 to 19
Loney is off to a really good start to the spring with Kingdom Hoops, using his 6-9/6-10 frame to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He’s a mobile big who can protect the paint at a high level, and his offensive game continues to improve. He has good touch around the rim and is continually working to develop moves and counter moves for his post touches. Players with Loney’s size are rare in Iowa, and if he continues to improve at the rate he currently is, he could see himself within the top 10 in the class soon.

(Western Christian)
The move: 28 to 23
A strong, do-it-all wing, Van Regenmorter is one of the best pure basketball players in this 2025 class. He has a tremendous feel for the game and is equally adept at facilitating for his teammates as he is scoring from anywhere on the floor. He’s a gifted passer who sees the floor extremely well, rebounds well on both ends of the floor, and has the combination of size, length, toughness, and athleticism to defend multiple positions.

(Assumption)
The move: 29 to 26
Cailen is a big, physical power wing who handles it and passes it extremely well. He has a great feel for the game and loves to get his teammates involved, but he’s also a capable scoring threat who is at his best when he’s attacking the defense and using his physical strength to bully his way to the rim. He’s a streaky shooter, but when he gets it going, it really opens up his all-around game and makes him a deadly offensive weapon. He won’t force anything, passing up his own good shot for a great shot from a teammate, and he’s a really good teammate who encourages his guys and is an active participant when he’s on the bench.

Waterloo West | 2025
State
IA
(Waterloo West)
The move: 36 to 29
Manago is a skilled combo guard with good size at 6-3, which he pairs with impressive athleticism. He has played really well for Martin Brothers so far this spring, showing that he can play both with and without the ball in his hands. He’ll contribute at a high level on the glass and plays solid on-ball defense.

(Muscatine)
The move: 43 to 33
Hodges is another fantastic athlete who makes a significant jump in this update after a solid start to the spring with the Quad City Shockers. A 6-1/6-2 wing who attacks the rim relentlessly, he uses his athleticism, quickness, and length to get into passing lanes at turn defense into offense, and he’s shown himself to be a reliable secondary ball-handler and playmaking threat.

Karsten Moret

State
IA
(Western Christian)
The move: 51 to 40
Moret is a terror in transition who uses his combination of speed and length to cover a ton of ground on both ends of the floor. Like his high school and AAU teammate Van Regenmorter, Moret has a great feel for the game and is a skilled passer who plays the game the right way. He’s a good shooter off the catch and is improving off the bounce.
