Miles White
Miles White
Miles White – Miles White is a combo guard who can score with some of the best players in the region. White has the ability to heat up quick and put up points in a hurry. White is a capable three-level scorer, with his ability to stretch the defense from deep or break defenders down off the bounce. He’s adept at using his length and ability to stop on the dime to connect on mid-range jumpers and short floaters in the lane. Defensively, when White is engaged he is valuable as an on-ball defender and is effective on the defensive glass. White is currently being recruited by schools at the Division I and Division II levels.
Dominique Wyatt
Dominique Wyatt
Dominique Wyatt – Wyatt is a speedy floor general who displays great situational pace and playmaking as a primary or secondary ball handler. Wyatt’s high basketball IQ is what makes him standout amongst his peers. He loves to push the pace in transition and attack downhill, but Wyatt exhibits great maturity when it’s time to value possessions and get a good shot. He plays at his own pace, rarely sped up by on-ball pressure and is adept at making correct reads when crossing into the second line of defense. Wyatt’s heady decision making, leadership and competitive spirit are more than enough reasons why college coaches should be knocking on his door.
Denim Perkins
Denim Perkins
Denim Perkins – Perkins is epitome of an all-around pure point guard. Perkins has been able to create plays off the dribble with his creativity and quick-twitch ball handling. He possesses great court vision to go along with the innate ability to whip one hand passes all over the floor, whether it’s to bigs in the dunker spot or spot-up shooters on the perimeter. Considering his size, he possesses good positional strength, is a crafty finisher around the rim and is becoming a dangerous threat from three. Defensively he is a pest who is comfortable picking up ninety-four feet and making it tough for opposing guards to initiate offense. Perkins is currently receiving interest from schools at the Division I and Division II levels.
Kareem Thomas
Kareem Thomas
Kareem Thomas – Kareem Thomas is an athletic combo guard who possesses a smooth offensive game. Thomas can shoot it well off the ball as a spot-up shooter, but is more than capable of creating for himself off the bounce. In the open court Thomas plays with quickness and urgency getting downhill, allowing him to showcase his explosive leaping ability. He uses his length and quick first step to gain an advantage offensively, but also uses these gifts as an active off-ball defender. Coming off of a state title run, Thomas is currently being recruited by schools at the mid-major Division I level.
Isaiah Hynson
Isaiah Hynson
Isaiah Hynson – Isaiah Hynson can make a strong case as the best guard in the area that has flown under the radar. Hynson has a great feel for the game, along with a high understanding of how to use pace and angles to get to his spots. He possesses a fluid pull-up jumper, with a quick release which he uses to get his shot off against taller defenders. Hynson has a quick handle and great positional size, which allows him to play with physicality off the bounce and finish through contact at the rim. Hynson currently holds an offer from Rider University is being recruited by other mid-major Division I programs.
Ryan Black
Ryan Black
Ryan Black – Ryan Black is a sharpshooting shooting guard with a quick-trigger release, and the ability to stretch the defense from deep. Black is lethal off the catch as a spot-up shooter who can knock down shots at an efficient clip from multiple spots on the floor. He uses his shooting ability to gain a rhythm and open up other facets of his game. Once defenders closeout hard, Black is a very poise decision maker when making plays off the bounce. Defensively he competes hard, making winning plays like diving for loose balls and talking teammates through rotations. If coaches are looking for a knockdown shooter and a coachable competitor, Black is your guy.
Jaylin Horsey
Jaylin Horsey
Jaylin Horsey – Jaylin Horsey is an electric scoring guard who can get hot in an instance. After this past HS season, Horsey has cemented himself as one of the better guards that Delaware has to offer. So far throughout the grassroots season, Horsey has been putting plenty of people on notice with his consistent shooting display. He can be very difficult to guard for opposing defenses. He excels as a spot-up shooter, but also possesses a quick first step off the bounce which allows him to obtain paint touches in a hurry. Horsey played extremely well during the spring live period, I expect his recruitment to skyrocket after this summer is over.
Zach Swartout
Zach Swartout
Zach Swartout – Zach Swartout is the type of player every coach would love to have on their roster. Swartout does all the little things that equates to big wins. A very coachable player who puts winning before any of his personal agendas. He’s always willing to put his body on the line, taking charges and winning the 50/50 balls. Aside from possessing great on-court leadership and exuding selflessness, Swartout is very adept at making the right reads off the bounce and excels at obtaining paint touches. He has sneaky athleticism which he uses to finish at the rim with an array of acrobatic finishes.
Crisdon Wright
Crisdon Wright
Crisdon Wright – Wright is the type of player that affects the game with his contagious energy and effort, whether he’s feeling it offensively or not. A very tough, strong combo guard who likes to set the tone defensively before he looks to score. Wright plays with intensity as an on-ball defender and crashes the glass with tenacity on both ends. Offensively, Wright is a corner specialist off the catch, but likes to attack downhill off the bounce and put pressure on the defense. His fearlessness and aggression on both ends is a direct reflection of who Wright is as a player, and what he brings to a team. Wright is currently being evaluated by programs at the Division II and Division III levels.
