Olympus
Olympus has a three headed monster coming back and they will be hungry to compete. It starts with the sharp shooting and versatility that Dutch Dowdell Dutch Dowdell 6'6" | SG Olympus | 2024 State #310 Nation UT has. One of the best players in the state and a D1 prospect that has size at around 6’6 out on the wing. Dutch was able to take advantage of teams running him off the three-point line and attacking the rim a lot last year. Look for him to be more comfortable with his handle and finishing ability on his attacks. Then you have the youngster Gavin Lowe Gavin Lowe 5'10" | PG Olympus | 2026 State UT who was just a facilitator that could go into the high post and pick teams apart or attack. He can also shoot from deep and the thing that might be his best attribute is that defensive ability to pick up the entire length of the floor. Lastly one of the best PG’s in the state in Jordan Barnes Jordan Barnes 6'4" | PG Olympus | 2024 State UT . Jordan is such a great High IQ player that reads the defense and knows exactly what is going on. He is a true extension of the coach on the floor. That passing ability is elite and he is expected to lead the state or near the top in assist every year. This team is a contender.
Alta
It is a no brainer that Alta will be the favorite next year. They just return so much talent and so much experience. The Reiser Brothers are back and they will be so tough to stop as they are just scoring/attacking guards that never stop. Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT is starting to heat up as his recruiting is picking up. There is no player shiftier than him in the state. We are convinced. Jaxon Johnson Jaxon Johnson 6'8" | SF Alta | 2024 State #106 Nation UT is one of the best shooters in the country and he is 6’9 so that is a problem for sure. Carter Doleac Carter Doleac 6'8" | PF Alta | 2024 State UT hold it down in the paint and does a lot of the dirty work but he has agility and can score the ball. Then you throw in Dash Reiser Dash Reiser 5'9" | CG Alta | 2026 State UT who can come in off the bench or start or whatever role he is in he is going to be a must guard player.
Timpview
Timpview is young but they have some pieces that will make other teams nervous. They always seem to have some young players in the pipeline. The way Dean Rueckert Dean Rueckert 6'7" | SF Timpview | 2026 State UT is playing this team has a shot. Dean has really turned in to one of the premier shooters in the West with that 6’7 frame out there casting three pointers. Keep and eye on them as they are well coached and always find ways to compete.
Highland
This is going to be one of those young teams we cannot wait to watch. The development of Soren Ries Soren Ries 6'8" | PF Highland | 2026 State UT is starting to take shape. Isaiah Drisdom Isaiah Drisdom 6'0" | PG Highland | 2026 State UT has arrived as he will battle anyone at the PG position and he has no fear.He is shooting the ball well and he is starting to figure things out. Carter Nielson Carter Nielson 6'1" | PG Waterford | 2025 State UT could come off the bench and light it up from deep. One player that could really make a difference is George McConkie George McConkie 6'8" | C Highland | 2024 State UT this kid is big and has some skills.
Springville
One of the best inside/outside combos in Mason Hansen Mason Hansen 6'1" | SG Springville | 2026 State UT and Jamyn Sondrup Jamyn Sondrup 6'10" | C Springville | 2026 State UT . Mason shoots the ball well and if he is open you are in trouble. Jamyn has really turned into a versatile big. Look for him to average 18+ next year. With a few teams leaving 5A Springville should run their region again and their experience will likely allow them to make a deeper run next season.
