Nordonia had a surprising season and Wiechecki played a big part in their success. An old school post player, he works best with his back to the basket and looking to use his size to score. Wiechecki has decent mobility for a guy his size and could be a match-up problem for Hiram in his college career. The duo of Wiechecki and Isaac Cheery gave Nordonia a size advantage on most teams in northeast Ohio.
Smith is a sharp shooting wing prospect who had some productive moments in the games I watched Medina play this season. A standout with Mac Basketball , a now Prep Hoops Circuit member, Smith will be headed to Heidelberg as the student princes once again are bringing in a large group of in state freshman including Smith’s high school teammate Luke Klanac Luke Klanac 6’3″ | SG Medina | 2023 State OH .
A small town standout in southeast Ohio, Sampson has been a multiple time all state honoree and one of the most productive players in the southeast district. Leading his team to an upset in the district finals, Sampson ended his high school career as a district champion. His production speaks for itself with his ability to punish smaller defenders in the paint and get out in transition.
Rehor had an impressive senior season for the Fairview Warriors who had another senior make their debut in these rankings. Recently committed to Adrian, Rehor had a couple offers from Division III programs both inside and outside of Ohio. A wing who can get hot from the outside, Rehor has a high basketball IQ and the work ethic to improve physically and off the bounce. Adrian took a couple players from Ohio’s 2023 class, showing the ability to attract out of state talent.
