Sanders had a huge Sophomore season, scoring 25 PPG to lead his conference. A dynamic scorer, Sanders connected on 58 3-point field goals and made over 100 2-point field goals and free throws. I was impressed with how Sanders can create for himself off the bounce with some real wiggle and quickness with the ball in his hands. An elite shooter, Sanders can knock down contested shots off the bounce consistently. Sanders had a negative assist to turnover ratio with CHCA as a Sophomore, I’m hoping to see more play-making ability this spring and summer on the grassroots circuit. A name to watch in Cincinnati’s 2025 class, Sanders is a small school stud who will continue to raise his profile this spring and summer with Midwest Basketball Club Gold 16 U.

Another big-time offensive talent, Bollin put up some eye-popping numbers at Midwest Mania, going off for 35 points on nine 3-pointers in one contest. Bollin can get extremely hot from the outside and has good positional size for a wing guard, standing about 6’3, 6’4. As an athlete, Bollin has solid length and explosiveness and blocked a couple shots in the game I caught. Would like to see Bollin continue to let the game come to him instead of forcing the issue offensively, he’s at his best when he’s being set up by one of his teammates for a spot-up look or attacking a closeout. Holy Name was unbeaten when Bollin was in the lineup, he had to sit out the second half of the OHSAA season due to transfer rules, look for Bollin to come back determined for the Green Wave in 2023-24.
Henlon is an athletic guard with impressive quickness, burst and athleticism who fits in perfectly with Sandusky’s fast-paced tempo. The Blue Streaks had one of their best seasons in school history with a pair of seniors and a pair of sophomores leading the way. Henlon is best when the game is being played as fast as possible where he can get out in transition and look to either attack the rim or set up a teammate on the fast break. I think the biggest area of improvement for Henlon would be playing in the half court and letting the game slow down for him. Henlon and Bollin are teammates on OBC’s 16 U squad that went unbeaten in the first UA Rise Session during the first live period, a team to watch this weekend in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Clark had an impressive season for Kings, who were one of three teams to split the ECC championship at 13-3. A good athlete in transition, Clark had a couple dunks that caught my eye on social media before I got to watch him play in person. A sharpshooter from the outside, Clark connected on 37% of his 132 3-point attempts this past season. Best off the catch, I’d like to see Clark take a step as a Junior in creating for himself within the flow of the offense. Only shooting 17 free-throws all season, playing into contact will be another area of improvement. A talented prospect, Clark was a standout at Prep Hoops live period event last weekend and has scholarship potential down the road.

Another prospect who helped his team to an unbeaten record during the first live period, a theme throughout this article. Williams led Beavercreek in scoring at 16.4 PPG and knocked down 30 3-pointers as a sophomore. A lefty slasher, Williams is best in the mid-range and has good touch from 8-15 feet. With good length, there’s room for defensive upside with Williams averaging over a block and a steal per game last year. I’ve only gotten to see Williams with his grassroots team, where he plays a bench role and does a lot of little things to impact the game. I’m excited to check him out as a Junior with Beavercreek where he’s their primary scorer and seeing how his game looks in a different role.
