The fast paced guard made a killing in transition. But it was more than just racing past defenders, it was making correct reads as a passer. And also pulling up and hitting in the mid-range. Just a few months ago it felt like Scott always played at one speed, now he has better transition decision making and more patience in the halfcourt.
Highlights
With broad shoulders and powerful leaping ability, it would be easy based on the eye test to pigeon hole Nickson as an undersized forward. But the versatile player has true wing skills and athleticism. In the first half with his team struggling against older competition, the Weatherford Eagle put the team on his back. By going to work in the mid-range, where he was automatic to close out the first half. His pull up game has been one of the best in Oklahoma as the powerful prospect embraces the lost art of an efficenet mid-range game.
RSE picked up a win against a bigger Colorado squad and the dynamic off the bounce abilities of Henderson were a big reason why. The score first guard lived getting downhill with his great combination of tight handles and strong core. He’s a compact player, who takes contact very well, allowing him to be an outstanding finisher at the rim. His drives were very controlled with a mixture of pull ups and also a very promising development. He showed improved vision and playmaking instincts, often kicking it out to open shooters, creating potential assists or hockey assists.
Henderson has scoring in his DNA, that will always be his primary trait. But his improving vision and decision making are vital for the combo guard’s prospects at the next level.
In the opening half of a Friday evening contest, the lefty lead guard showed how dangerous he can be with the ball in his hands. He has a smooth and in control style while driving, when he gets in the air he has good hang time and makes good use of his huge wingspan to either finish in traffic or find teammates with great passing. Ridge also buried an open three pointer when left open. The Edmond North Husky is a very well rounded guard.

The tall wing has developed into one of the better shooters in Oklahoma’a Class of 2024. In the second half, he hit big threes that helped extend the lead. Including burying an impressive pull up in transition. Right now his offensive game seems best when hitting off catch and shoot opportunities, with the occasional 1-2 dribble pull up.
The Piedmont Wildcat put together a pivotal stretch of winning basketball in a close second half contest. It started with a good finish through contact. A couple possessions later, he successfully trapped the opposing ball handler at halfcourt, leading to an easy score for himself. With momentum and confidence, the positive plays continued to happen. Kennedy hit a catch and shoot three. Then grabbed an offensive board and kicked it out to a teammate for three.
Highlights
Seemingly to his teammate Kennedy, Sage stepped up in the second half as a connector type player. He made the right passes, including a good pick’n roll ball read. And another patient drive where he kicked it out to an open teammate for a three. The passing and flashes of playmaking skills for the wing were good signs of development. Especially paired with his mobility and discipline on the defensive end.
Highlights
Freeman was eager to shoot from off the dribble to start the Friday afternoon contest and for good reason. The lead guard was dialed in from beyond the arc, even hitting a couple times from a few steps beyond the perimeter. He rained threes throughout the contest, leading his squad to the victory.
