Standout Guards Class 4A/Class of 2024

Here is a look at some the top junior guards in class 4A from this past season. These guys are are all players to watch next year .They will be senior leaders next season and hope to lead there teams to the playoffs.

Javon Johnson Javon Johnson 6'0" | CG Bossier | 2024 State LA 6’0″ Bossier

Javon , is a outstanding combo guard who averaged over 11 points, 3 rebounds , 3 assist , and 2 steals a game this past season. He was a honorable mention all-state selection this past season. He is excellent ball handler and can finish in the lane in traffic. He is good three point shooter and is good at the mid range spots.Javon plays high energy defense and disrupts opposing teams offenses . He is one of the better rebounding guards in the state. He will make a very good point guard at the next level. Bossier won the division 2 non – select state championship this past season.

Laurence Nathan Laurence Nathan 6'2" | PG Carver | 2024 State LA 6’2″ Carver

Laurence is another outstanding junior point guard. He averaged 14 points , 2 assist ,4 rebounds and 1 steal a game. He is a floor general who controls the pace of the game . He is a excellent shooter from all spots on the floor and plays great defense .Laurence has a very strong all around game and will excel at the college level . He is a must see palyer for college coaches. Carver won the division 2 select state championship this past season.

Colossians Mason-Jones Colossians Mason-Jones 5'11" | PG BTW-Shreveport | 2024 State LA 6’0″ BTW Shreveport

Colossians, is a really great point guard who can change the game on both ends of the court. He is a outstanding three point shooter and has great quickness . He is really good in transition and can also spot up and hit shots. He gets his teammates involved with great passing and plays griddy hard nosed defense the entire game. Colossians is must see player for college coaches. BTW Shreveport lost in the 1st round of the playoffs this past season.

Aidan Lasalle Aidan Lasalle 6'0" | PG Archbishop Shaw | 2024 State LA 6’0″ Archbishop Shaw

Aiden , is one of my favorite players to watch in the area. He is a true floor general and plays the game at a very high level . He is excellent passer and three point shooter. He seems to always find the open man . He makes great decisions when the ball is in his hands. Aiden plays very tuff high pressure defense and is a must watch player this year. Shaw lost in the state semi-finals this past season.

Hayden Bessonet Hayden Bessonet 6'2" | CG St. Michael The Archangel | 2024 State LA 6’1″ St. Michael The Archangel

Hayden, is a very good three point shooter and excellent passer . He makes greet decisions with basketball in his hands . He seems to always be at the right spot on the floor and finds ways to get open . He will be one of the team leaders next year for St. Michaels. St. Michaels lost in the quarterfinals of the division 2 playoffs this past season .
