Nick Giarrusso
Nick Giarrusso
Nick Giarrusso is a great young point guard who always plays with his head up and particularly excels in transition. Giarrusso is already making an impact on the glass and puts opposing defenses under a lot of pressure when he is able to get a rebound and push the ball. Nick is a capable three-point shooter and defender but improving both of those skills would take him up a level.
Oliver Nakra
Oliver Nakra
Oliver Nakra is a tireless worker off the ball on offense and has a great sense of how to find just enough space within a defense to create a catch and shoot opportunity. Nakra also uses his speed to play the passing lanes on defense and actively harass guards on the perimeter.
Abdi Bashir
Abdi Bashir
Abdi Bashir is such an intriguing player because he has incredible size and length for a point guard, an ability to shoot the three off the dribble, and can defend almost all 5 positions on the court. While Bashir needs to improve his ball security to be a primary ball-handler at the next level, his versatility and physical frame make him a player you can see contributing on almost any team.
Jaqari Miles Jaqari Miles 6’2″ | CG West Ranch | 2023 State is a tough point guard who is a three-level scorer on the offensive end and creates well for others by getting into the middle of defenses. Miles excels at drawing and playing through contact and his strong build allows him to have an advantage over smaller guards. Jaqari is a capable defender whose frame allows him to play some defense in the post as well.
Noah Williams Noah Williams 6’8″ | SF Sierra Canyon | 2024 State is such an intriguing prospect because he has all the physical tools to fit into any program at the next level. Williams is incredibly long, can act as a secondary ball handler, and defend almost every position on the court. Noah still needs to improve his playmaking and three point-shooting so that he can exercise the advantage his size gives him more often.
Darnez Slater Darnez Slater 6’1″ | PG Roosevelt | 2024 State #216 Nation is a combo guard who competes hard on both ends of the court and can really fill it up. Leading scorer at his high school for consecutive seasons, Slater can score off the dribble as well as being a catch and shoot threat and defensively is far from afraid to be the first one on the floor for a loose ball. Darnez’s game is super adaptable to any offense and his competitive nature will allow him to make an impact at the next level.
