Here are the top-8 CG’s in the 2025 class:
Caden Bass Caden Bass 6'4" | CG Paragon Science Academy | 2026 State AZ Peoria (Pictured)
A long and tall combo guard made a big leap up in his play. He became the guy to stop when Camacho wasn’t playing. He has a nice handle to make plays for others and can create his own shot from mid or get to the rim. He is also very good as a catch perimeter shooter. His length allows him to defend multiple positions.
Treyvion Curry Treyvion Curry 6'2" | CG Phhoenix Prep | 2025 State AZ Phhoenix Prep
A hyper athletic combo guard is the top defender on the list. He has next level lateral quickness and supreme athleticism. If he gets a step on you, he will get to the rim and finish with impressive body control. He can hit the three and pull-up from mid.
DeNali McNeal DeNali McNeal 6'3" | CG Canyon View | 2025 State AZ Canyon View
An all-around guard plays at his own pace. He seamlessly plays on or off the ball. He makes plays and will score it from all three levels. He sets the table and can shoot the three. He can get a step on his defender and finish in traffic. He is patient and will score on pull-ups and euro steps. He may transition full time to a PG down the road.

A long and lean combo guard flies on the break. He can hit the three off the catch plus he can create his own offense. He makes good reads to his teammates and he can defend multiple positions with his quick twitch reflexes.
David Franks David Franks 5'11" | CG Phhoenix Prep | 2025 State AZ Phhoenix Prep
An athletic combo guard is an easy jumper off the ground. He throws it down above the rim on the break and plays fast. He rises up high on his jumper shots from mid-range and has range beyond the arc on his triples. He is a physical on-ball defender.

A long scoring combo guard who recently grew two inches. He changes speeds well, gets out on the break to flush it down, handles it like a lead guard and can spray it around the court. He shoots it comfortably from the three point line and in.

A physical two-way combo guard is playing more and more on the ball recently and sees the court better. He has long arms and good lateral quickness with upper body strength to keep his opponent in front of him. He can hit the three off the catch plus score it in the paint.

A taller combo guard has the size, skill and defense for the next level. His length and quickness bothers his opponents and collects steals in bunches. He can facilitate, rebound the ball, hit shots from the perimeter and score inside the paint.
