The HGSL, which is Hoop Group’s circuit, features some of the top teams from across the country, with an endless amount of prospects for all levels.
Here’s a look at part two of some of the HGSL Prospects to keep an eye on from Pennsylvania teams in attendance.
Jaden Murray Jaden Murray 6'7" | PF Archbishop Ryan | 2024 State PA | 6’5” SF | Philly Revolution
Murray is one of the prospects with the highest ceiling on this list, as he has great positional size and athleticism to go along with it, as well as a budding skillset that will only improve with time. He’s a bully ball wing who gets downhill aggressively and has the strength to play through contact, he is an explosive leaper that allows him to rebound and challenge shots and if he’s left open he can knock it down from deep.
Elijah Espinosa | 6’8” C | York Ballers
Espinosa should see a steady amount of coaches following him this weekend, as the 6’8” post has huge upside and is a new style big that coaches want to recruit. He has broad shoulders and a strong upper body that should fill out nicely, he is a big time athlete who can get up and down and finishes above the rim with authority and he’s a good rim protector and can switch defensively too.
Joe Sedora Joe Sedora 6'5" | SF Red Lion | 2024 PA | 6’5” WF | York Ballers
Sedora is coming off a great junior season at Red Lion where he was a YAIAA D1 First Team Selection, and he’s impressive not just because of his versatility but because he knows how to play the game. He’s very fundamentally sound and knows how to get spots with little dribbles and uses his body to finish through contact, he can knock down shots off the catch and create space off the bounce to get his shot off and he’s a good rebounder and plays with a good motor too.
Sebastian Henson | 6’2” CG | York Ballers
Henson was one of the best players in the Lancaster area throughout the high school season, and he’s in a good spot with this talented York team to showcase his all-around ability as a guard. He can handle the rock and get in the lane where he can make plays for others, he’s a knock down shooter from deep when he moves off the ball and he’s a sneaky athlete who can get downhill and finish at the rim.
Carter Jackson | 6’4” WG | PK Flash
Jackson is a native of Cleveland who is playing with the Pittsburgh based Flash squad, and he should have division one coaches looking at him in Pitt this weekend. He looks the part with good size and a strong frame that he uses to play through contact and defend, he’s an explosive leaper who plays above the rim in transition and he can make tough shots in the midrange and open shots from deep.
Damon Curry Damon Curry 6'2" | SG Franklin | 2024 State PA | 6’5” WG | PK Flash
Curry was electric during the high school season as the Franklin junior finished as the Region 6 Player of the Year and surpassed the 1,000 point mark this year. He’s another talented wing on this Flash team that can really score the ball as he has the size and athleticism to get downhill and finish, he can move off the ball where he’s a good shooter from deep and he makes an impact defensively with his size and activity.
Ian Harring | 6’4” PG | PK Flash
Harring is coming off of a big junior season at Kiski School, and he has all the tools to be recruited at the division one level. You won’t find many lead guards with his size and athleticism that he uses defensively to stay in front and get steals, he has good speed and shift with the ball in his hands and he can get downhill and finish above the rim and he can score the ball from all three levels while also being able to make plays for others.
Jaden Colzie Jaden Colzie 6'0" | PG Plymouth Whitemarsh | 2024 State PA | 6’1” PG | Brad Wanamaker Elite
Colzie was fantastic his junior season at Plymouth Whitemarsh helping lead them to a Class 6 D1 championship, and he will be another guard who can turn heads at Pitt. Colzie’s a smooth lead guard who can handle it and has good change of pace and burst, he has in the gym range and can get into his shot quickly off the bounce and he competes and shows toughness on both ends of the floor.
Will Marion | 6’1” PG | NEPA Elite
Marion is the type of point guard you want on a talented team, as he’s able to create shots for himself and others and makes great decisions with the ball in his hands. He’s a crafty guard who changes speeds well and is able to finish in different ways over bigger defenders, he can drill it from deep with consistency and he sees the floor and makes great reads when he touches the paint.
