MJ is a proven shooter that is still filling out his offensive repertoire. It didn’t take long for Mj to show what he has in the toolkit as he put his scoring abilities on display early and often and produced throughout the entire two-day event. He is an instant offense and has a strong understanding of team spacing, the importance of ball movement, and not letting the ball get stuck. It’s his ability to score at all levels as well as his ability to change speeds and directions, that makes him so dynamic on offense. The means to beat the traps, to trigger the break, to control matchups, and keep his team in rhythm had me locked in on him as often as I could watch him. With all the things I just mentioned about his game, one of the biggest strengths of his game is being able to knock down the trey ball, which he often did.
Hudson McKnight (6’0/CG/’26/Shockers’ 26)

Hudson is a listed cg that brings significant value when he is at either the lead guard spot or the off-guard position. He is a very good ball-handler, and along with his understanding of the game, it makes him very tough to defend in ball screen action. Hudson showed the ability to create off the bounce, and he is a crafty finisher at the rim and has excellent touch in the paint. He is highly skilled on offense and has great instincts on the defensive end of the floor. He showed that he can score from deep in more than one way, but one thing is for sure he is a player that defenders must know where he is at all times because any room to get his shot off from beyond the arc is a blown coverage by the defender. He had a three-trey ball performance in the game that I saw.
Brady Wright (5’10/SG/’25/Stars Basketball Club North-Miller)

One word kept jumping out at me as I watched Brady play: SHOOTER. He is a player who can fill up the stat sheet and was amongst the best when it came to scoring from deep. His game is mostly perimeter-based, as he is a consistent source of scoring with his outside game. He is incredibly lethal when coming off a screen or on a catch-and-shoot three, but he can also put the ball on the floor and pull up at a high rate. He produces numbers in the scoring column that stand out, and Brady stood out as I watched him knock down 4 trey balls in one contest.
Christopher Morris (6’1/Wing/’24/Tennessee Edge)

Chris is one of the most explosive guards in this article, and even though I am talking about players that can score the rock from deep, Chris is a player that can score it at all levels. He went for huge numbers several times, showing his propensity to score the rock. Chris is a gifted scorer that competed with tremendous effort and showed good leadership skills as he is in the driver’s seat for his squad. He showed a lot of promise, not just as a scorer but as a player that can put up huge numbers from beyond the arc. He knocked down three treys in the contest that I saw him.
Ripken Tucker (6’1/SG/’25/The Select Few ’25)Â

Before I talk about Ripken and his ability to knock down the trey ball, I have to talk about what many on his team love about him: his on-ball defense. He takes pride on the defensive end of the court and makes it tough for the man he is guarding to play within the flow of what his team is trying to do. His tenacity on defense was clearly seen as he forced a couple of 5-second violations. As effective as he is with his middle game, he is equally as effective in his ability to score from beyond the arc. He doesn’t need much space to get his shot off and is highly efficient when scoring from deep.
