Top prospects from across multiple states lined up and squared off to compete in the top division of the Prep Hoops Spring Kick Off Saturday, producing intense games and bringing out the best of the best. Let’s go over some of the standout players from Saturday, including guys from Washington, Colorado, and Arizona.
Hunt is a 6-foot-5 wing that used his length to disrupt passing lanes on the outside, tipping balls outs and forcing tough shots with consistency. On the flip side, he was able to use that length, while showing particularly good strength at the hoop, driving in from the perimeter and finishing through contact in the paint.
The Colorado guard played with intense focus and swagger, drilling shots from outside and showing power at the rim with a handful of jams. He’s a tough competitor that will knock down open shots and attack defenses head on with good strength and balance in the paint.
Jay was on another level Saturday, scoring anytime the defense let their hands down and proving even when they did contest his shots, it didn’t matter a whole lot. In fact, against D1 Nation AZ he dropped a whopping 40 points. But he didn’t just prove to be a reliable shot-maker, he also showed some real killer instinct in tight games and an inability to backdown to competition.
Just a member of the 2026 class, Moskowitz played up with Colorado Roughriders 2024 National and was one of their most consistent shooters behind the arc. There was no second guessing, if he was open, he was firing away. He got steaming hot against BDH Elite, helping his squad smother a late run and hold onto the win.
Harris was a big contributor on the defensive side of the ball, averaging multiple blocks per game. He is not a guy that will quit on a play, as evidenced by a monster chase down block against D1 Nation AZ 2024 Saturday. He’s an explosive player who can also shoot the ball, coming up with some clutch 3-pointers for his squad on the weekend.
Another BDH guard making the list, Berry is a kid with long range who shot it fairly well over the weekend. But more than just showing off his deep shooting, Berry exhibited a strong IQ, helping out teammates under pressure and finding space off the ball in the midrange to get open and hit the in between shots with a quick release.
Henige is a big 7-footer who shows a lot promise as a skilled big man. He runs the floor well and demonstrated great hands on both ends of the floor, stripping offensive players and tipping in rebounds for second chance points. He also made some quick decisions passing the ball out of the post when doubled, finding shooters on the perimeter and avoiding collapsing defenders.
Sanders was one of the most impressive players of the day. His ability to affect the game from all over the court and in a variety of roles was a big eye opener for the 2025 guard’s potential. He can score from all three levels, handles the ball with confidence, and plays at his pace with ball fakes, pivots, and crafty moves off the ball.
