Prep Hoops Florida scout Ross Van De Griek will be on the grounds of the event. Here are the Top 17U Prospects to keep an eye on this weekend:
The 6-8 small forward plays with length and athleticism on both ends of the floor exceptionally well. Ali is a sensational shot blocker who limits opponents from getting second chance scoring opportunities. On the offensive end he can knock down shots from beyond the perimeter at a consistent rate. Ali can also finish around the rim and has a smooth fadeaway jumper. Ali just recently narrowed his recruitment process down to eight schools: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona State, Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio State and Texas.
After coming off one of his best weekends so far with Florida Rebels, Knox has become a viable scoring threat as he averaged 21.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in four games at the Nike EYBL Session 1 in Atlanta. Knox can score on all three levels as he made 8 3-pointers as well last weekend. Kentucky and Louisville have been the schools in the most contact with Knox as far as his recruitment process goes.
The 6-3 point guard plays with a ton of confidence and pace when he is out on the floor, as he is coming off a weekend in Atlanta where he averaged 14.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in a 4-0 weekend for Team CP3. He is a communicator on the defensive end where his ability to jump in the passing lanes to get steals has been a difference maker. Boswell holds offers from Georgia, Houston, Texas A&M, USF and several others.
The 6-9 power forward can impact the game on both ends of the floor whether it’s his ability to finish around the rim on the offensive end or coming down with a big rebound on the defensive end. Yeanay plays with a ton of length and athleticism which forces the opposition to force up tough shots. Last weekend at the Nike EYBL in Atlanta, Yeaney averaged 12.5 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the field. Yeanay holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Houston, Jacksonville, North Florida, Texas Tech and Virginia Tech.
The 6-7 wing plays exceptionally well on both ends of the floor as he is coming off his first weekend at the EYBL, where he averaged nearly eight rebounds per game. He plays with toughness and his athletic ability is off the charts despite playing against players who are two years older than him. Stokes plays with a high motor and can guard multiple positions out on the floor. Stokes already holds offers from Arizona State, Louisville and Xavier so far in the early stages of his recruitment process.
The 6-3 point guard has a huge offensive skillset where he put on a shooting clinic at the Nike EYBL Session 1 in Atlanta. Givens is coming off a weekend where he averaged 18.8 points per game while shooting 46 percent from the field. His release from beyond the arc is very smooth as well while knocking down 10 3-pointers and only committing two turnovers in four games for Mokan Elite. So far during this recruitment cycle, Givens has received offers from Georgia Tech, Indiana, Texas and Villanova.
