Harry Geng Harry Geng 6'1" | PG St Johnsbury Academy | 2024 State , 6’2 G – St. Johnsbury Academy Class of 2024
The southpaw gets after it. Harry is a combo-guard who can finish at every level, whether it’s from his own creation or moving off the ball to get to his spots. Moreover, he has the ability to facilitate and create as he sees the floor well while handling ball pressure. Then defensively, Geng can really scrap. He defends guards naturally with his athleticism and, with his length, can square up with some 3s. Plus, he creates open court offense with that defense. Harry is a two-way gamer.
Will Hughes, 5’11 PG – BFA St. Albans Class of 2024
Gritty and fundamental, Will comes with that BFA mettle. Hughes balances his orchestration and scoring intuitively. He facilitates with ease, and at the same time he can blow by defenders and finish well in the second layer. Moreover, he continues to be effective off ball with wise cutting and screening. Then defensively, he’s all there. His footwork is agile, frame strong, and his anticipation keen. And once he’s in transition he makes a ton of plays. Hughes is passionate and hardy.
Will Ameden, 6’4 W/F – Burr and Burton Academy Class of 2024
With Ameden, you can’t place him in a box. Will’s post repertoire is chock full of fundamental footwork, baby hooks, and wise fakes to keep defenders guessing. Moreover, his facilitation/passing out of the post is beautiful to watch. Yet he can also step out to the perimeter and knock down shots, get to the cup, or drop dimes. Defensively he swings between 3s and 4s, and he hits the boards with nice vision in transition. Ameden’s feel for the game is top notch.
Joe Buxton, 6’3 W/F – Fair Haven Union High School Class 0f 2024
Defensively, Joe is highly dynamic. He has the mobility to guard 2s and 3s on the wing, but he also possesses the ability to bang down low with 4s, defend the paint with his verticality, and hit the glass. Offensively, Buxton tends prefer the wing. His 3-point stroke is consistent, and he gets to the rim in 1-2 dribbles for strong finishes. Plus, having an All-State PG, Joe runs the floor hard and gets rewarded with bunnies at the other end. I love his versatility and hardnosed approach.
Xavier Hill, 6’2 PG – Hazen Union High School Class of 2024
Hill has all the tools. With his size and handle he’s a natural facilitator, and his passing turns him into a savvy offensive creator. Moreover, he knocks down looks at all 3-levels off the bounce or the catch. Regardless, Xavier does a good job balancing those two roles; there’s been games where he’ll surprise with 15+ points on what feels like limited shots and focused orchestration. Then on defense, Xavier defends 1-3 while hitting the glass at a good clip. Steady on both ends.
